  • We Love Graphic Novels!

    Funded Dec 9, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation of graphic novels to my classroom library. The students have loved exploring new titles and genres this Winter and Spring. The books were instantly checked out from the classroom library, and loved from the minute I took them out of the box. It has been wonderful to watch some reluctant readers find a story or two that excites them. The students are so proud of themselves when they can read quickly or read a longer book. The variety of novels you provided for my classroom will help young readers for years to come. Thank you again!”

  • An Air Purifier to Keep Us Safe!

    Funded Sep 27, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation of the air purifier. The extra layer of safety is appreciated by my students, their families and me while we navigate teaching and learning during a pandemic! It works so nicely and is so quiet that is does not interrupt our school day at all. It is also very easy to operate! Thank you also for the extra filters. The air purifier I selected has a long filter life and with the extra filters we will be able to use this for years in my classroom before the need to purchase more filters! Thank you so much again for your donation and willingness to support classrooms!”

  • Third Grade Readers Are Leaders!

    Funded Jun 10, 2019

I cannot tell you how excited my students were to receive these books. The smiles on their faces as I opened the boxes and pulled out "Dog Man", "Dork Diaries", "Captain Underpants" and many others. During daily independent reading time students are completely engaged, reading with expression and loving reading. It warms my heart to be able to give my students good books that they love to read. It reminds me of how I fell in love with reading from the moment I learned to read. I cannot wait to share these books for years to come. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

  • Let Us Write! Telling Our Stories

    Funded Oct 7, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations of the writing supplies and bins. The students were so excited to open the packages and see what we had received. They were excited to have writing paper that has the picture part on the top so they can draw and write on the same page. Students were equally excited to get their own pencil grips and tape dispenser to feel grown up when writing and taping up tears in papers. They are eager to start making cards for their family and friends! I am thrilled to have students be so excited to write. I hope to inspire students who wish to express themselves in many ways through writing. Thank you for helping!”

  • Listen Up! Audio Books Are Awesome!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I cannot thank you enough for helping my class gain an audio book station and baskets to organize our library. The students are so excited to listen to audio books every day. They eagerly ask to go listen to the story and follow along with the book. I am tickled to see students so happy to read and actively loving good books. This will be an awesome resource for years to come.

The baskets purchased have allowed our library to be organized and neat. The students can quickly find a book they are interested in and also know where to put it back. The baskets are high quality and will last a long time!

Thank you so much. My students will benefit from this project for many many years! Thank you for putting the tools in my students hands to become life long readers.”

  • Learning Is Easy With A New Easel!

    Funded Jun 7, 2017

Thank you so much for the generous donation of the easel, markers and erasers. We use the materials every single day. It makes it so wonderful that we do not have to run around teaching for materials. The materials we need are on hand, ready to use and make learning accessible.

We use the easel daily to show work, create anchor charts and write ideas down. It is easy to move to different locations in the classroom. We are able to take our learning anywhere!

We also use the markers and erasers in small group, at our desks and many other times!

Thank you again! The simplest things make the biggest difference in the classroom.”

  • Books needed for BOOKWORMS!

    Funded Mar 28, 2017

Thank you so much for the generous donations of books to my classroom. It is so important to have books that students are able to read in the classroom. Luckily, for our class students received books they can read and books they like! It brings me so much joy to see my students snuggled up with a good book and in love with reading. This Spring my students developed a love and hunger for reading as they poured over the same books over and over again. You have made a huge difference in my classroom.”

  • Here Ye! Here Ye! 1st Graders Need An Audiobook Station!

    Funded Dec 16, 2016

Thank you so much for the donation of the headphones, stereo and the audio splitter. Students love using the audio book station to hear stories read aloud. Students can then retell the story with a friend or just sit and enjoy the art of storytelling. Students especially love the soft headphones that fit first grade heads. As a teacher I am appreciative because headphones are always an issue in the classroom. The students and I appreciate your donations to our class. We will be able to use these materials for years to come. Thank you again for your donations.”

  • Making 1st Grade STICK!

    Funded Nov 14, 2016

Thank you so much for your donations. Your donations purchased chart paper and glue sticks. Both of these items are used on a daily basis for learning or activities. It seems like such simple items but they make a huge impact in our classroom.

Students are able to use glue sticks to help them learn. We no longer have to worry about running out of glue and not being able to complete an activity. It takes major stress of of me and students to know that we have the materials we need. The chart paper helps us post our lessons around the room for reference. Students use the charts daily to help them remember what we have learned.

Having these materials close at hand means we don't have to pause our learning! Thank you so much again for such generosity.”

  • Extra, Extra! Read All About It!

    Funded Aug 25, 2016

    Dear Donors,

This year my students have benefited from receiving Scholastic News magazines. These are high interest, on grade level, non-fiction magazines that appeal to my students. They eagerly read the new magazine each week and learn more about the world through reading authentic non-fiction text. Students are able to take these magazines home to read again and again as well as share with their family. It is so important for students to have text on their level. Non-fiction is notoriously written in a highly academic language making it hard for first graders to read. Being able to read these magazines as well as taking them home is creating a love for knowledge in my classroom. Thank you so much for you donation.”
