Science Minds Want to Know!
Funded Nov 17, 2009This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my students. The science books that you donated have helped my students in so many ways. We've used them everyday to understand concepts related to energy and the universe. The colorful illustrations help teach my students in ways that would not be possible without your donation. My students are able to draw diagrams and apply what they learn from the books to other areas of science. The books are used not only for my science class but also my literacy class.
Our school is facing serious budget cutbacks, so without your help, my students would never have benefited from these vital resources. My students and I humbly thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Respect The Rain!
Funded Mar 26, 2009With heartfelt gratitude, I want to thank you so much for making this project a reality. My students were so excited to have the books and hands-on materials to learn about the rock and water cycle. We have used them to make the concept meaningful to the students. They were able to come up with ideas for keeping the water in our area clean. They also charted ways to conserve water in their own home, school, and neighborhood. I wish you could have seen their faces when we opened up the books and materials. It was the greatest gift in the world to them.
Our school, like many others, is currently facing a huge budget crisis, so without your help, mt students would never have had this educational experience. Without donors like you, thousands of students would go without necessary materials. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart and so do my students.”

You Are What You Eat!
Funded Mar 13, 2009With sincere thanks and gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom I want to let you know what a difference you have made. My students have been excited to learn about good health and nutrition every day since receiving the games and inflatable food pyramid. The children are actively engaged and responsible for learning through inquiry an investigation. We have used the nutrition bingo game to recall important information. The students use the food inflatable food pyramid to create their own personal weekly meal plan containing healthy foods rich in vitamins and minerals.
Our school, like many across the country, is currently facing budget cutbacks. Without your help, my students would never have had the chance to experience hands-on learning like this. These vital resources have opened up a world of curiosity and understanding for my students. You are a very special person.”
