  • Differentiation for All

    Funded Nov 14, 2023

Thank you for your generosity. The class has been utilizing the teacher pay teachers gift cards so that they may have differentiated work. As many children in the class are new to the country and are learning ESL skills these packets from teachers pay teachers have been very helpful and supplementing the work done in classroom. And we have used the supplements to help give an equitable education to all in the class. The class has children who are very high level. I needed supplemental material to push them and challenge them further. While other children need assistance with learning the skills at a lower level. Thank you again for your generosity. You were making a difference in our education.”

    With gratitude,

  • Graphic Novels Are Out of This World!

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Thank you for donating to our class project! We love our graphic novels!!

The graphic novels have brought us into reading new series and learning about new characters. We have become better at studying the comic illustrations to gather meaning and feelings for the books!

Thank you for making a difference for all our readers, especially the reluctant ones!! My class looks forward to reading our graphic novels and debating what they really mean and what they notice. The subtle clues in the illustrations help us make inferences and predictions, two strategies that are difficult for third graders to grasp in regular chapter books!!!”

Our class has 22 of the sweetest Third Graders I have ever meet! Many of our students are from a background where English is a second language. The children in our class come to school ready to focus on learning and to enjoy each others company while reading, writing, and working in centers! The classroom is lovely but does need some improvements in comfort, organization and places to corral materials and tools for the children to use during learning time. The children need choices for where best to learn. Teaching the life skills of self advocating, identifying emotions in themselves and helping one another will assist them in many areas of their lives. As learners, they will see that not having to search for tools will give them more time to learn and engage with the materials, learning, and one another. The class will enjoying have a comfortable and choice when working area!
