Warm, Safe and Loving Inclusive Environmentally
Funded Mar 24, 2025The students in our classroom got so excited to get their brand new rug that we even played a game with the numbers
Students are loving the opportunity during small group work to come to the front sit comfortable and warm on a rug and be able to use their lap desk and practice with their place value chart students are really taking ownership of their learning and are really enjoying the new materials and new space that we've created.
Their excitement Smiles, jumping up and down and screaming really spoke volumes to how happy they are. They said the classroom looks so much nicer now I think this definitely adds more motivation and makes them feel much more comfortable when participating in group lessons in the front of the room on the floor.”

Funded Apr 16, 2023Thank you so much for giving us our materials to help visualize our work. The students were so excited to use the document camera and editing pens for their independent center work, and even their revision work in writers workshop. You truly put such a smile on all of the students faces and they were amazed with seeing these materials. Thank you for helping us create a better future for our students and future students here at PS 28. I know that it sounds simple, colorful pens but, these colorful pens are such a magic tool in our classroom. Once again, thank you for helping my students succeed.”

Funded Oct 24, 2022We just started using Secret Stories two weeks ago. The children keep looking at the cards and get so excited when we hear a new story. They have even been given word detective badges to help solve the words by using these secret stories. They are so enthusiastic to learn and have been circling secrets they see in stories and even a math test. Thank you so much for your support, but most importantly, thank you for believing in my cause, in me and my scholars. Words can't even begin to describe how grateful I am.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021Your impact has been amazing! My students were so excited to receive our new classroom library. My students have been LOVING to read. We even project on our smartboard a relaxing environment. Our students have been working on building fluency and comprehension and with our new classroom library they have been so ecstatic to read. Even when they have completed their independent work they pick up a book to read! My students have been coming up to me and sharing with their peers new information they have learned in their books. It has been great! Thank you so so much!”

Funded Jan 20, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donations. Our students are so excited to use our new easel and magnetic strips on the board. These new resources will provide the students an opportunity to come up to the board and "teach" the class by writing on the board and the magnetic strips. The magnetic strips will also help for differentiation and small groups when we need to work on our handwriting and proper letter formation.
When we showed the box when it first came into our classroom our students were so ecstatic to find out what was inside. Not only is my co-teacher and myself so excited, but the students in our classroom are excited as well. Knowing that we had such wonderful donors contribute and put a smile on our students face means so much. Our students are very excited to continue learning and using these new materials to help them succeed. Once again thank you for your kind donations. Our students enthusiasm wouldn't have happened if we didn't have generous donors like you.”
