  • Warm, Safe and Loving Inclusive Environmentally

    Funded Mar 24, 2025

The students in our classroom got so excited to get their brand new rug that we even played a game with the numbers

Students are loving the opportunity during small group work to come to the front sit comfortable and warm on a rug and be able to use their lap desk and practice with their place value chart students are really taking ownership of their learning and are really enjoying the new materials and new space that we've created.

Their excitement Smiles, jumping up and down and screaming really spoke volumes to how happy they are. They said the classroom looks so much nicer now I think this definitely adds more motivation and makes them feel much more comfortable when participating in group lessons in the front of the room on the floor.”

    Dear donors,

On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation to our game night initiative. Your support has truly made a difference in the lives of our students.

It is truly inspiring to see the excitement and joy on the faces of our students as they immerse themselves in these activities.

Your generosity has enabled us to create an environment where learning is fun and where students can develop essential skills in an engaging and interactive manner. We are deeply grateful for your support and for believing in our vision of education through play.

Once again, thank you for your kindness and for making a positive impact on our students' educational journey. We look forward to sharing more stories of their success and continued growth, made possible by your generosity.”

  • Visualizing Our Work

    Funded Apr 16, 2023

Thank you so much for giving us our materials to help visualize our work. The students were so excited to use the document camera and editing pens for their independent center work, and even their revision work in writers workshop. You truly put such a smile on all of the students faces and they were amazed with seeing these materials. Thank you for helping us create a better future for our students and future students here at PS 28. I know that it sounds simple, colorful pens but, these colorful pens are such a magic tool in our classroom. Once again, thank you for helping my students succeed.”

  • An Apple a Day Keeps Illiteracy at Bay

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

I cannot begin to express how grateful we are. Words cannot describe. We started playing some literacy games and the students are so engaged and enthusiastic to do centers! They are even making connections to their work. The students love doing centers and always ask for more time. I appreciate all of your support in helping me inspire my students and instill a love of learning and a love for reading as well despite any challenges. The greatest gift is watching your students thrive and have such excitement to learn.”

  • Cracking the Code Through Phonics

    Funded Oct 24, 2022

We just started using Secret Stories two weeks ago. The children keep looking at the cards and get so excited when we hear a new story. They have even been given word detective badges to help solve the words by using these secret stories. They are so enthusiastic to learn and have been circling secrets they see in stories and even a math test. Thank you so much for your support, but most importantly, thank you for believing in my cause, in me and my scholars. Words can't even begin to describe how grateful I am.”

Thank you so much for your donations. My students were so excited and engaged to do a scholastic news lesson. The interactive activities really got them thinking and they were excited to even answer questions. We will be doing this weekly thanks to your donation! During small group my students have loved playing with the dominoes to help with phonics. Thank you so much for making my students more motivated and having them love learning. This has been working wonders and I am looking forward to continue using these resources in my classroom.”

Thank you so much for fulfilling our project. My students have been diligently using the materials and have been so excited. My students with sensory needs have been really focused with their new materials and my struggling students have really been excelling with their center materials. My students have had so much fun while using their materials but the learning that has been happening is amazing. My students are already beginning to feel more confident in themselves. • An Apple a Day Keeps Illiteracy at Bay

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Your impact has been amazing! My students were so excited to receive our new classroom library. My students have been LOVING to read. We even project on our smartboard a relaxing environment. Our students have been working on building fluency and comprehension and with our new classroom library they have been so ecstatic to read. Even when they have completed their independent work they pick up a book to read! My students have been coming up to me and sharing with their peers new information they have learned in their books. It has been great! Thank you so so much!”

  • America's Future & Bright Shining Stars

    Funded Jan 20, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Our students are so excited to use our new easel and magnetic strips on the board. These new resources will provide the students an opportunity to come up to the board and "teach" the class by writing on the board and the magnetic strips. The magnetic strips will also help for differentiation and small groups when we need to work on our handwriting and proper letter formation.

When we showed the box when it first came into our classroom our students were so ecstatic to find out what was inside. Not only is my co-teacher and myself so excited, but the students in our classroom are excited as well. Knowing that we had such wonderful donors contribute and put a smile on our students face means so much. Our students are very excited to continue learning and using these new materials to help them succeed. Once again thank you for your kind donations. Our students enthusiasm wouldn't have happened if we didn't have generous donors like you.”

I work in a Title 1 School with students who come from various countries. Most of my students are from South America who are new to the country. I would love to instill a love and passion for learning for each of them but more importantly make them feel welcome to our country and that they are capable of being successful.
