• Lined Dry-Erase Boards for Handwriting!

  These lined dry erase boards have been so useful to have in the classroom. My students have been using these to practice printing neatly touching the lines and also have been learning to write in cursive. It's been hard trying to teach my students to write neatly during the remote learning, and at least the students who are back in person have been benefiting from learning to print. These dry erase boards are double-sided and the other side is plain white. We've been using the plain side for doing math. When all the students come back in person, I will have enough for all the students to have one to use.

• Individual Desks for Scholars!

  We've been back in the classroom since mid-April. I started with 5 students back in person, and now I have 9 students back. The individual desks have been very helpful and useful to keep a safe distance! I couldn't have kept them apart with my clover-shaped tables that sit 4 students together.

  I'm so grateful that I was able to get these wonderful individual desks for my students. I'm the only teacher at school with these individual desks. Thank you so much for your support in education, so my students can continue to learn in a safe environment in a midst of pandemics.”

• Can We Spread Out?

• Space Bubble Needed!

  This is our 3rd week being back in the classroom for the first time ever since our schools closed the doors more than a year ago. I started with 5 students back in-person and now i have 7 students back. The individual desks are so helpful and useful to keep the safe distance! • Earbuds and Masks for Scholars!

  My students were excited to get their earbuds and colorful kids-size masks. I was able to deliver their package at the door. With some extras, I was able to share them with some of my students' siblings who needed one too. Some of the students listen to their class in the same room which makes it very distracting if they're not using any headsets.

  The kids-size masks fit perfectly, and I have some extras to keep in the classroom when we go back to class soon in April. Our district is set to go back to in-person learning after the Spring Break, and students will be required to wear a mask. Having extra masks will be very helpful.

  I'm so grateful for the resources I was able to get through DonorsChoose. I was able to purchase digital materials that I've been wanting to get for my students. I got handwriting practice sheets, reading comprehension passages, and math review materials to get my students ready for assessments. These materials help my students and me as a teacher to get them ready for next grade level especially during this difficult time of pandemic. I feel prepared having these materials in hand.

• Stylus for Distance Learning!

  Thank you so much for your support with this project. I was able to deliver the supplies to my students' front door to all of my 25 students. My students now have the stylus to help them write on their iPads to do their assignments. They love having this tool to be able to draw and write right on the screen. It's been a challenge to teach my students how to print neatly touching the lines, and having these styluses helps a lot with the hand writing practice. Also, it helps a lot when the students need to write on the screen while showing their subtractions with borrowing.

• Let Us Write & Learn at Home!

  Thanks to your generous donations, I was able to deliver the needed supplies to my students' front door to all of my 25 students. Many of them had run out of dry-erase markers and desperately needed some new ones. They are able to write on dry-erase boards now to show their work especially in math. We've been learning to subtract and add with regrouping, and having these extra supplies have helped so much.

• Touchscreen Computer Monitor for Zoom!

  Having a 2nd monitor has been so wonderful. The monitor is nice and big, and I can see my students well while I screen share the content from my laptop. I had to return the touch screen monitor and get a regular one because of low quality, and I'm so happy with my choice. I was also able to add an old monitor from my husband to be able to use a 3rd one. I can bring a tab to the old monitor to screen share for my students to see, and I can get my next lesson up on my laptop to share next. I feel very efficient and organized having these monitors.

  It was wonderful to start the year with the TeachersPayTeachers gift card. It helped tremendously since we were still continuing with our distance learning. I was able to buy several useful resources to create Seesaw assignments for my students to work on daily for their asynchronous work. I don't have any pictures of actual students, but my students have been working hard on their Seesaw assignments daily.
