My students may be living at or below the level of poverty in many cases, and they may not always feel safe in their neighborhood, but they work hard and deserve to learn just like their wealthier peers. Their school went from being one of the lowest performing in the city to being a school to watch. Its API scores have nearly doubled in the last few years. Thanks in large part to the dedicated administration and staff, the school has become a powerful learning environment.

About my class
