  • Poetry Brought to Life

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. With the books and materials you donated, we were able to successfully have a FUN time with our poetry unit. Students were able to complete projects with these books that you donated to our class. We also did a readers theater that helped us to understand poetry even deeper. We have several friends who are still learning to read so the ability to have so many "there was a woman who swallowed" books allowed them to feel confident in their reading and also enjoy what they were reading.”

  • Keep It Goin' With Summer Learnin'

    The students were so excited to receive these materials! When I began opening the Amazon packages of books, students were so amazed to see me pull out one book after another. We began our nonfiction unit the next day, so students got to have these books hands on while studying what nonfiction looks like, reads like, sounds like, etc. Students were able to use these books for clear understanding of text features and what a nonfiction text looks like as they are writing their own informational text. Additionally, were able to get new DogMan books. DogMan is a very big "want" in this class and it was so exciting to see the smile on their faces as the new books entered our class library. Thank you so much!”

  • Research, Content, Fun, Oh My!

    Funded May 4, 2022

    Thank you so much for supplying these things for our classroom. The students have used the new resources in independent reading, group projects, and with the research project we have done. When the students first saw the materials, they started jumping with excitement and could not believe what they were seeing. BRAND NEW markers, BRAND NEW crayons, BRAND NEW poster boards. Several of my students are from low income, so to get brand new items meant the world to them. I still have plenty material left over, so we are going to be using it for our nonfiction unit we are entering. We are going to be developing stories and (hopefully) presentations on topics we know alot about!”
