Having books in a classroom is very important! I have spent tons of my own money funding my small library. This year I have one of the lowest readers in all of my time teaching. I am in real need of k-3 books to help with all the diverse levels. Most of my students do not have money to buy books to read at home, so I allow them to use mine. Unfortunately most of my books are too high of a level for many of my students. The area I work in is extremely poor, and most barely have the money for school supplies, food etc. I really want my students to have a fighting chance for their future! Thank you!
