Materials Needed
Funded Aug 24, 2018Thank you all so much for your generous donations. These materials that we received are essential to our classroom community. For example, we received numerous boxes of tissues that we could use throughout the school year to keep students healthy and provide them with tissues to use during flu season. Also, we were able to receive hand soap, sanitizer and paper towels. These are all necessary to keep our classroom clean and safe for all. Due to your donations we were also able to get new pencils, pencil sharpener and brand new table bins were students could store their materials. Pencils are vital to all classrooms and my students will not go without them this school year!”

Keeping our Environment Clean and Safe for All
Funded Feb 21, 2017I would like to thank all of you for your generous donations. These donations helped our classroom in so many ways. We received so many important and useful resources through your donations. These items included: tissues, napkins, crayons, hand sanitizer, soap, cups, plates, utensils, pencil sharpener, and other cleaning supplies. Our students use these materials/tools on a daily basis. The cleaning supplies are used at the end of everyday to make sure we maintain a healthy environment. We wipe off the tables and chairs after we have been using them all day. The markers and crayons are used for project based learning. Lastly, the plates, cups, utensils and napkins are used when we have a class celebration for finishing our work and to celebrate other accomplishments.
The students were very grateful for all the donations that were given because this meant new supplies for our classroom. They were so happy to receive a new pencil sharpener because our last one had broke making it very difficult for us to have proper pencils to use. They also loved that we received tissues, hand sanitizer and soap because we had been very low on these essential materials. If we don't have these things then it makes it hard to maintain a healthy and clean working environment. Lastly, they were super excited to receive new crayons and markers because the ones we had were getting old and run down.
Our classroom is currently working on project based learning in which students show what they know about a topic through the use some type of project. For example, if learning about the American Revolution they choose a project they would like to create where they could tell what they know about this topic. The type of projects include: Songs, posters, or essays.”
