My students come from a low income neighbor in a blue collar, low income city. For a lot of them school is their escape from reality. They are a large mix of Hispanic, African American and Caucasian. I teach an incision classroom which means my students are both regular and special education. These kids work so hard to get so very little. My job as their teacher is to allow them to get as much out of life as they can.
