  • Help Our Music Therapy Program Acquire Instruments

    The students were astonished to hear that these wonderful djembes were donated to the school and our music program. We not only use them in Music Therapy, we use them in Chorus as well. The students have created rhythms on songs that they sing in Chorus. It helps the students who are nervous to sing and allows them to do something else that is musical. The students are able to play African rhythms and are able to create their own. The students have become very engaged and creative. Thank you so much for your donation!”

  • Help Us Start Our Music Program

    Words cannot describe how excited my students were with our new digital piano and accessories. The students were happy to finally be in a "real chorus" with a beautiful new digital piano. We have been using it every day in Chorus and students have been using it to tune to. Since we have received these resources, the students are able to sing with accompaniment and help keep themselves in tune. Students have a strong desire to learn piano now and I have been allowing them to use the keyboard for piano lessons during their free periods. We will be using our digital piano for our first performance in late December. The smiles on the children's faces are all because of you. Thank you so much for the help in starting our music program.”

Our school is in New York City. It is a very small high school with about 610 students and almost half of them are taking music this year. All 610 students are classified as economically disadvantaged. They are wonderful students who are eager to learn how to read music and love to sing.
