The students in my class attend a public elementary school in a small town in Georgia. They all have moderate to severe autism and intellectual disabilities, and some have seizure disorders and other physical/physiological needs as well. They all attend adapted PE once a week but I would love to have the materials to work on gross motor skills like crawling, throwing, kicking, running in class the other four days a week! My students typically aren't motivated by the same things as typical kids and therefore don't get as much active play and exercise as they need. I have to be creative in developing activities that will motivate them to GET A MOVE ON!
