  • Scholastic News: Help Students Read About Things Happening Around Them

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Our classroom greatly appreciated the Scholastic News readers and activities in them. They would wait every two weeks with such excitement because they knew the new one was going to be studied that week. My students loved getting to take them home and having the ability to practice reading the stories with their parents or guardians at home. You truly put smiles on my students faces.

Thank you so much for giving to our classroom. My students are so grateful for you and your donation. You have enabled a new love of reading in my classroom through your generosity. Thank you so much!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

  • Reading Corner: New Books For An Exciting Adventure

    Funded May 11, 2023

My students have loved reading these books. They have spent free time going through these books with an excitement that I rarely see when they are asked to read. They love how the books have pictures that help tell the story, it really engages their imagination. They beg to be able to read these books everyday and that is truly a blessing. My students rarely beg to read since it is a struggle for them.

Thank you so much for giving to our classroom. My students are so grateful for you and your donations. You have enabled a new love of reading in my classroom through your generosity. Thank you so much!!”

  • Supplemental Reading and Math Material for Special Needs Students

    Funded Dec 17, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. Without donors like you, my students would not have the most up-to-date material needed for learning. With your help, my students are now able to learn a phonics program that is building strong readers in my classroom. This program is working to help all my learners to understand letter sounds and blending those together. Without your donations, I would not have been able to afford to give my students these resources. I can not put into words exactly how much this has helped my special learners. They are confident now in their ability to sound and blend words. This put them on the road to becoming a better reader and that is something that is beyond awesome to see!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

  • Flexible Seating for Mason's All-Stars

    Funded Nov 3, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity to our classroom. My students are special needs children and they love when we get new things in our room. They were over the top excited with everything we have received. Their learning environment has been improved tremendously with these items. It changes up how sit in our classroom and how they can focus their attention to the lessons being taught. They use these items daily to change up the way they learn during reading, writing and math classes.

We can not express enough thanks for your kindness and willingness to help out our classroom. Without you we would not be having so much fun in our room. You made that possible and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

  • Learning at Home Supplies

    Funded Aug 6, 2020

My students benefited greatly from the school supplies that was given to them during this horrible pandemic. Most of my students come from low-income families that do not have the extra money to buy needed supplies for instructional activities. This project allowed me to provide binders, pencils, crayons, markers, glue, paper, white boards and dry erase markers and more to all my students. They each received a backpack full of supplies that gave them the resources they needed to make this year somewhat easier for them.

My students were so excited to get their bag. Most jumped up and down and clapped their hands. Some even squealed with excitement as they looked through all the goodies. It was like Christmas in August for my students.

We are so fortunate to have this project funded and forever grateful to those that helped. This year would have been even harder had I not been able to give my students those basic needs to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

  • Flexible Seating in Our Awesome Classroom

    Funded Nov 7, 2019

Thank you so much for your help in providing flexible seating in my classroom. My students have special needs and they are more engaged in learning when they are comfortable in their environment. This project provided seats to my students that were located in the middle of my classroom that promoted learning and also "fun". They loved the chairs and ottoman the first time they saw them. They immediately began asking who was the lucky two that could sit in the special seats for that week. We made up a rotation and students knew they had to be actively engaged in the lessons and following classroom rules in order to keep their favorite spot for that week.

Unfortunately, COVID came along not long after we started to enjoy our chairs so pictures will be up as soon as I can get back into my classroom with students. I know your heart will be blessed when you see the smiles these items brought to their face. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You are a blessing to my students and me!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mason

Hello!! My students love to learn and they are so excited when I allow them to get out of their traditional seats and move around the classroom. I would love to do away with the tables and chairs I now have and incorporate areas where they can be comfortable as they learn in a nontraditional environment. My dream is to have stools at our small group table, this would help students wiggle and move the way they like to while participating in guided reading activities with me. My students face many obstacles in school. Coming in, sitting down and not getting up does not work for them. I want to incorporate bungee chairs, so that students can bring their Chromebooks to that area and create with technology. I also feel my students would benefit from rocker chairs in the reading area because movement is key to learning for my ADHD students. They would benefit from sitting on donut balls at lowered tables for hands-on activities that allows students a sensory seat to aid in comprehension. I am passionate about bringing flexible seating to my classroom in order to incorporate movement and nontraditional learning opportunities for my awesome kids. Thank you for your help!!
