Special Education Arts & Crafts
Funded Aug 20, 2023Thank you so much for your kind donations of supplies for the Life Skills students. These supplies have helped these students create fun artwork and manipulate and use materials they haven't used before. Many of the projects they have made with these supplies have been holiday-related.
So far, the students have stamped their names and reviewed positive versus negative spaces. They have dabbled in dot art, which will end up being their end-of-the-year art message that will be displayed in their hallway or resource room. They have created colorful works using more hands-on approaches to create holiday artwork.
Using some of these supplies has also assisted some students with their fine motor skill development and practice. We are so grateful for your contribution to the special education art class.”

Funded Dec 12, 2019I know it's been so long. I want to give a very deep thank you for your donation back in 2019. It has helped support my classroom and students' learning by using materials they are not used to. COVID has hit and has made an impact on student learning and material use. With this, however, has come a newfound love for art from our students.
Believe it or not, I still have a few items left from this donation project. Your help has lasted for years. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts here at EHS.”

Technology in the Art Room
Funded Aug 29, 2018The art students here are very appreciative of your donation to our art rooms. The new classroom laptops have helped students use resources that they usually do not have access to. They use them on a daily basis for research, photo assistance, design applications, printing documents, etc.
Their excitement and use of the tools has helped build additional interest in the studio arts here at school and has also improved participation and grades. By donating you have helped improve our numbers and status.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018I am beyond thrilled to have received the package to help supply our closet. We were in desperate need of some materials and this has benefited us so much.
We were so beyond excited to have been funded that we forgot to take our pictures with the materials. We delved right into using them. The students started water color painting which the students loved so much. Painting is what they look forward to all year. They created mini VanGogh playing cards. Other students made signs for our football team with the glitter to help increase morale on game days.
Thank you for giving our students a creative outlet with these materials.”

Funded May 22, 2018It is such a blessing to receive your donations to help supply the art studio. Today we received our package and I must admit my heart melted. When I informed the students that these items were donated to us their reactions were awesome. Some students' jaw dropped. Some students had an ear to ear smile. Some yelled "YES!!".
When I discussed what these items were and how they will be used, the students automatically started asking questions. Their interest in the canvas panels were great, because some of them have never used them before. This gave them an opportunity in looking forward to creating art that is 3D and not a typical painting whilst using plaster.
We are extremely grateful for this opportunity you are able to give us. The first aid kid and gloves are a big help. This allows me to have the proper materials at hand in case someone receives a burn from a hot glue gun, or bandages for minor cuts from scissors. We can not thank you enough for your contribution. We look forward to this years projects.”
