  • Literacy Meets Math!

    Funded Sep 9, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations. These donations allowed us to purchase the Literacy sound tubs for our classroom. Not only are these sound tubs used to teach literacy, but also cross-cutting concepts for math. Students have been enjoying these tubs daily! All of the items in the tubs came in large piles, so the students spent time organizing the toys and objects into the correct letter and sound bins. They were absolutely thrilled!

Seeing the growth and progress in the students letter and sound recognition has been amazing! Since incorporating the letter and sound bins into our daily rotations in math and ELA, the students confidence have sky-rocketed! So, thank you to YOU for making this all possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linfield

  • Learning to Read Is Poppin'

    Funded Apr 12, 2022

This project has already made a huge impact on our classroom. I opened the boxes in front of the students and their faces lit up! They were so excited to see that the items they love (poppers) will be incorporated into their daily literacy and math centers. We opened the poppers and got to work right away using them.

We are currently using the poppers to map and sound out CVC letters. When we combine kinesthetic learning with auditory learning, we have a match that will be most impactful and memorable for the students.

We will continue to use these items every day. They are a staple in all of our literacy centers and small groups. Thank you for making this generous donation to our classroom!”

  • STEM Fun!

    Funded Apr 14, 2022

Thank you for your generosity in funding this project. My students, for years to come will benefit from these STEM materials. My hope as a teacher is that I will instill a love of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in all of my students! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make this possible for our classroom!”

  • Brick by Brick STEMs Creativity and Innovation

    Funded Sep 23, 2019

Thank you for donating LEGO bricks to our classroom. Students have been creating away during their STEM projects. Students love the creativity that LEGO allows. Students are able to use the LEGO's from this project to build STEM projects, use for Science Fair and for other innovation projects. Students have loved having full access to the LEGO's. After this project we now have enough LEGO for the entire class to use.

When the students first saw these LEGO's they were beyond excited because they know how valuable LEGO can be for education. Thank you for providing such a wonderful resource for my students!”

  • SCIENCE Speaks!

    Funded Oct 22, 2019

Science speaks has done wonders for our classroom. Students who would never talk and discuss their ideas and thoughts before are now the once raising their hands. This has opened up so many more doors for my students in ways I never even imagined. Not only has their confidence been boosted in Science, but also in other subjects as well.

The Q-ball microphone ball allows students to use their voice at their normal levels, just is able to extend it so that the whole class can hear. As soon as my students used the Q-ball they absolutely LOVED it! They were beyond excited and ask me almost every day if we can use it for our discussions.

Our classroom has been forever changed by your generosity, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linfield

  • Never "LEGO" of Your Creativity, Part 2!

    Funded May 28, 2019

Students in grades 4, 5 and 6th (around 280 students) walked in the first week of school completely in awe of the lego wall and all of the supplies. You could just see all of their wheels turning on how they should go about filling the blank canvas that was the lego wall. As a teacher, it is wonderful to see the transformation day to day on what is placed, built or engineered on the wall.

The lego wall is directly in the entrance of our Science Lab and the first thing that everyone sees. It is very much the focal point of our lab. Students are able to engineer and design on the lego wall. Students have crafted cars, tv characters, scientific objects and much more. Students are free to work with their imagination and creativity, which are both completely embraced in our classroom.

The donation of the lego base plates and lego bricks have been such a hit in our classroom. Students get to show their individual creativity while working on the base plates. These have been useful during so many of our lessons for the students to show and present their scientific models.

I so appreciate you donating your hard-earned money so that my students have the creative freedom in our Science Lab. My students are absolutely loving the editions to our classroom this year and will be used by many classes in the future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linfield

This project has enhanced our lab, for all students. But mainly our SAI (special needs) students. This lego wall has given them a space to take a break, collect their thoughts and just simply build. It has given all of my students permission to be creative and allow them to follow their instincts, problem solve and be kids!

These materials will positively affect hundreds if not thousands of students in its lifetime. This lego wall will always be a part of our classroom and community. So donors, from the bottom of my teacher and human heart, I thank you for donating your hard earned money so that my students get the opportunity to embrace their science, engineering and kid brains!”
