These books will enhance the content of our analytical discussions about challenging topics. We will be discussing overarching essential questions about ethics and morality inside the classroom as well as out in the "real world." We will build reading stamina and comprehension skills by analyzing word choice and diction, we will build discussion skills by having Socratic seminars regularly, and we will improve our written communication skills through a final analytical essay. This book study will provide students with the materials needed to support the development of our communication skills. Studies have shown that memorable connections help students transfer, and remember, knowledge better. Through studying this book and supplemental informational text, my students will be supported during the duration of their high school careers and beyond.
