Second Graders Seeking Technology for Learning

Thank you again for your donation towards my classroom project. Because of your donation, my students received two Kindle Fire tablets!

Prior to creating my Donors Choose project, my 2nd grade students would always ask when our elementary school was going to receive computers or tablets that we could use in the classroom. My students realized the need for technology and couldn't wait to get their hands on some! My students couldn't believe it when I shared the good news of our classroom project being funded through Donors Choose by your generous donation!

The Kindle Fire tablets were certainly welcomed with open arms in my 2nd grade classroom. The students love taking turns playing on math and reading apps differentiated by different ability levels. They even love suggesting they share their given "technology" time with each other.

The new technology in our room surpassed my expectations. My students are more engaged and motivated to read and practice math facts and concepts. They are careful and kind to our new materials as well.

Again, thank you for changing the lives of the students in my 2nd grade classroom. Many students aren't available to technology or tablet-like resources at home. Your donation and generosity has truly made a difference.”
