  • New Year, What’s Lost is Found

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting our students! This project may not seem like much, but a clean and organized school environment is critical to student success! I know having their lost items found will be a great feeling for our students along with the student leaders who get to help reunite lost items with their owners! Thank you for continuing to make Harmony Elementary a better place to learn!”

  • Capturing Our Year!

    Funded Dec 16, 2024

I can not tell you how appreciative we are of your support! Because of your donations, we were able to get an additional camera for our yearbook club students. This allows us to provide better coverage of school events and increase the learning opportunities for our Yearbook Club students! We have enjoyed having an additional camera so far and it is being put to good use. We are excited to start the new school year off with three cameras to share between our veteran club members and the new members who will be joining!

The students are enjoying the leadership opportunities provided to them by having extra cameras in the club. They can sign up to cover more events, and we have more images to include in our yearbook. Students are also able to attend more school functions because if they work part of the event, they get in free. Having an extra camera has opened up a lot of opportunities for the students in our club this year, and years to come!”

  • Breakfast After the Bell!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your continued support of students at Harmony Elementary. We are beyond excited to see this project come to fruition so quickly. Once it arrived several staff volunteered to assemble it and moments after assembly was complete a student arrived and was in need of breakfast after the bell had rung.

Without donors like yourself we would have apologized and sent the student to class with an empty stomach.

Our students and staff are so thankful for your support which allows us to meet the needs of individuals so they can experience being sit up for success at school.”

  • Books for Positive Behavior in Schools!

    Funded Feb 17, 2022

I can not thank you enough for your generosity! Our teachers are utilizing personal goals for each child to ensure that all students can obtain a token for our book vending machine. On Tuesdays, they do a special announcement in their classroom to celebrate their learner and all they have accomplished. The students are able to choose any book that they would like from the machine, even if it is above or below their reading level. We want to foster a love for literacy. Each week we send almost 40 books into our community for students to keep and build their personal library!”

These materials will go towards helping create a more student centered and engaging learning environment. The room will be able to be transformed into a book tasting cafe, a crime scene escape the room, and a glow games themed unit review. These materials will be able to be reused throughout the year and into the future. Students learn best when they are excited about what they are learning and sometimes that means going above and beyond to turn a lesson into an experience. These materials will help our students problem solve, work as a team, and build critical thinking skills all while they are having fun. By allowing students to have props the students are able to buy in to the lesson and the scenario. The students become engaged in the lesson without being aware of the learning occurring. By being funded the materials will be used for various room transformations, thus transforming many lessons. the restuant props will be used to teach about text features, genres, and economics. The black light and glow materials will turn into a glow in the dark ‘park’ where students will work on reviewing skills to earn points while playing games. Lastly, the crime scene materials will allow students to work to solve the unknown. Students will be given clues that ultimately lead to a final reveal, much Luke the popular escape the rooms. In a world made up of high level entertainment, our students need to be actively engaged and captivated by their learning experience. We would be so grateful to have these materials help to transform our classroom and create a lasting educational impact on our students.
