Let's Work Together!
Funded Jul 25, 2022Ralph Waldo Emerson told us that, "The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions." Working together in cooperative and collaborative groups our students have greatly learned from one another. From the starting of their group and a simple task of making their flags, to working together through complex tasks to resolve the problem and come up with creative, educated, collaborative, solutions, these students have shown tremendous growth and have widened their own thought process and matured into such amazing young adults.
Our country and state have faced many difficulties in the past few years, and this activity has shown them that we can work together to come up with solutions. These are principals they will take with them through life and will help them to be our next generation of collaborative problem solvers. Today however, our highly gifted program has faced many budget cuts. Your charitable donations have made it possible for our class to be able to work together, take risks, and try new things. And for this opportunity we are grateful. Thank you for your generous support.
Words cannot express the gratitude we feel because of your gracious contributions. We will have many years and many students who will be impacted by your amazing gift.”

If I Only Had A Brain
Funded Aug 5, 2022The value of your gift to our class is immeasurable. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel because of your gracious contributions. Thanks to your support my students were able to learn in an active and creative way, different aspects of the brain. Michio Kaku reminds us that, "The human brain has 100 billion neurons, each neuron connected to 10 thousand other neurons. Sitting on your shoulders is the most complicated object in the known universe." The students are so excited about their thinking caps and truly enjoyed making them. Learning about how scientist have divided our brain into sections, then using the caps as a model to draw the division of the lobes, helped them to better understand how our brain sits inside of our heads and where each section is located. Then researching the general functions of each lobe helped build depth to their understanding of some of the aspects of our brain.
In order to be competitive in the world of science today, we need to provide our children with a variety of resources and learning experiences as early as possible. We need to begin their journey through science with lessons that inspire them and spark their imaginations. Science should always include hands on investigations. My students and I sincerely thank you for supporting our school.”

Let's Get Organized
Funded Sep 19, 2022Mark Miller once said, "Organization is everything, being organized frees the brain up for more important things." Thanks for your generous support and for helping our class to purchase bins to store classroom items in, we have become more organized. These bins have made our class look so neat and this arrangement allows the students to have easy access to the items they need.
Our school district is facing a major budget crisis; therefore, our highly gifted program has faced many budget cuts. Your charitable donations have made it possible for my class to be able to organize items to make it easier for the students to get to and use.
Your donation has supported not only this class, but many classes to come. Again, I would like to express how truly grateful we are for your generous donations and support to our classroom. We will have many years and opportunities for students to be impacted by your wonderful gift.”

Let the Sun Shine In
Funded Sep 20, 2022Albert Einstein once said that, "The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive." The value of your gift to our class is immeasurable. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel because of your gracious contributions. Thanks to your support my students were able to incorporate the magic of their STEM Solar Robot Kits into a classroom and home project. They discovered the excitement of learning by creating a solar robot and how these solar panels can transfer energy from the sun into electricity to move their robots. This concept incorporates attributes such as engineering that allow the students to learn an important 21st-century skill.
Our country and state are facing a budget crisis, and therefore our highly gifted program has faced many budget cuts. Your charitable donations have made it possible for my class to be able to use technology in our class.
Again I would like to express how truly grateful we are for your generous donation and support to our classroom. We will have many years and many students who will be impacted by your amazing gift.”

Funded Jul 29, 2021"Art has the power to transform, to illuminate, to educate, inspire and motivate." What a beautiful message Harvey Fiestein once gave to us. It is important to support our students in all aspects of their learning. Working together in cooperative and collaborative groups our students created amazing pieces of art and then gave them to some of the adults that work at our school as a thank you for helping them, in different aspects, everyday.
Our country and state have faced many crises, and therefore our highly gifted program has had budget cuts. Your charitable donations have made it possible for my class to be able to take risks and try new things and show kindness to others. And for this opportunity we are grateful. Thank you for your generous support.

We All Need to Speak Up and Get Along!
Funded Jul 29, 2019Wow! What a year and a half! Our school, country and world are facing a health crisis beyond compare. This impacted our program making materials difficult to share. However your charitable donations and patience made it possible for my class to build upon their growth mindset. We truly appreciate your generous support.
In the words of Albert Einstein, my students had the opportunity, "To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle...[which allowed them to use their] creative imaginations." Reading "We All Need to Speak Up and Get Along" helped my students to build a growth mindset. Through strategies suggested in the book the students learned to encourage each other, build upon their own ideas as well as listen to others, to navigate through difficult or uncomfortable situations and improve on solving problems. Often we came together to share the students' different perspectives on questions and situations in the book. The positive approach presented in this book has been a wonderful tool for the students to use.
Words cannot express the gratitude we feel because of your gracious contributions. Thank you because my students have been impacted by your amazing gift.”

A World Filled With Science
Funded May 9, 2019Thanks to your support you have given my students the opportunity to learn about new cutting edge science events and findings. In the words of Albert Einstein, "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science." Through the use of their "Science World Magazines," the students have the chance to read engaging, current, nonfiction articles that bring science concepts to life. Once they have read an article they are to come up with their own questions to research. They love being given the opportunity to research their own interest related to the topics. This powerful tool has given strength to their understanding science concepts from different perspectives. It also helps them to increase their knowledge of interesting science practices and findings taking place presently.
Your charitable donations made it possible for my class to learn more about our universe today. Thank you for your generous support. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel because of your gracious contributions. Because my students have been impacted by your amazing gift we want give you a big thank you.”

Funded Mar 20, 2019Winston S. Churchill once said, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." Thanks to your generosity you have touched so many lives in such a simple yet impactful way. Our Open House was such a tremendous success. Our Science Space Magazines were amazing and the students were truly proud to present such high quality magazines, both educationally and physically, to their parents and all who visited our classroom. This machine was easy to operate and laminated the pages beautifully. Everyone was able to pick up the magazines, turn pages, and look at them, yet the students knew their projects were safe because their hard work was neatly tucked inside the laminated pages of their magazines.
Our school district is facing a major budget crisis, and therefore our highly gifted program has faced many budget cuts. Your charitable donations have made it possible for my class to be able to easily laminate items for their projects.
Your donation has supported not only this class, but many classes to come. Again, I would like to express how truly grateful we are for your generous donations and support to our classroom. We will have many years and opportunities for students to be impacted by your wonderful gift.”

An Ultimate Game
Funded Dec 2, 2018I am truly humbled by the generous nature of so many. Because of your gracious gifts, my students have had the amazing opportunity to practice their throwing and catching skills using Frisbees. The students have had such fun running around trying to catch and learn how to toss the Frisbees. Their goal is to get better and be able to throw the Frisbee with enough accuracy to play Ultimate Frisbee. In such a short time I have seen my students' coordination and throwing skills greatly improve. And we look forward to letting the games begin.
Our country and state are facing a budget crisis, and therefore our highly gifted program has faced many financial cuts. Your charitable donations have made it possible for my class to be able develop their large motor skills while playing games. Thank you again for your generous support.”
