• Enhance PE Classes with Outdoor Sound: Let's Get Moving!

  The new outdoor speakers provided through Donors Choose have significantly enhanced the learning experience for our students in physical education. With the integration of these speakers into our classes, we've been able to incorporate music and audio cues, making our activities more engaging and dynamic. The technology has allowed us to create a more immersive environment that promotes active participation and enthusiasm among students.

  The integration of technology in physical education has not only captured the students' attention but also helped them better understand and execute different activities, contributing to an overall improvement in their physical fitness.

  The students are particularly excited about the versatility and portability of the outdoor speakers. The ability to bring music and audio elements to our outdoor activities has added an element of fun and excitement that wasn't possible before. Whether it's incorporating motivational tunes during fitness routines or playing educational podcasts related to health and wellness, the speakers have become a focal point of interest for our students.

  Overall, the new outdoor speakers have not only elevated the learning experience for all students but have also provided a platform for individual expression and participation that extends beyond the traditional boundaries of physical education.”

• A Book in Every Hand Will Enlarge a Child’S World.

  Thank you so much for your donation. It is extremely important for our students to have the right books in the right language in their hands. We have been working effortlessly with "Baseball en Abril by Gary Soto." The students are reading fluently and with accuracy in Spanish. We have been reading the short novels in small group settings, with a partner and as a whole class. Students are making text to world connections with these small stories within the book and writing summaries as they read. Having books at their reading level is so important. I hope to help them become more independent in their ability to read in a second language.

  Reading this Spanish novel with a partner, group or whole class is a must when reading in a second language. These students have become fluent readers with the help of reading and writing. All my students are enjoying the new books, so much that they forget them at home when they take them to read for the night. They are excited and grateful to have the ability to read a great book at their level in a different language.”

• Capturing a Community with Digital Learning

  Thank you! I cannot thank you enough for the iPad, apple pencil, keyboard and iPad case. Without them Virtual teaching and learning would not have been possible. I am able to digitize the students' workbook pages for math and make them available with a simple click and app. I am able to share my iPad screen and write on the projected item in real time. Students are able to have that live interaction and participation with the help of these materials.

  Students get excited when they know that if they do not have access to a particular assignment, I can digitize their work and send it to them with the use of the iPad. This allows me to send it to their Google Classroom and in matter of minutes they can have it in their hands or if needed be projected using the iPad as a DocuCamera. I am able to evaluate and send students messages all while they are in zoom presenting with the help of a second piece of technology.

  These materials have eliminated much stress during these hard and difficult times. Students' as well as teachers are learning new ways to use technology and from our experience, it has made teaching and learning easy thanks to your wonderful donation. Again, I cannot thank you enough for this wonderful opportunity.”
