My students are creative and hardworking 6th graders of diverse backgrounds. Our demographic has a high population of English Language Learners and most are from low-income homes. I try to teach my students that if you work hard, you can do anything! They love when they accomplish something that they haven't done before & I want to encourage that spark. Most of my students don't have the background knowledge or resources at home to help them apply what we do in the classroom in the real world. With donor's help, we can get more books, technology, and equipment into the classroom to help continue the ignition of learning. I want to make sure that each student has one-to-one learning materials. We can foster the learning in the classroom to help take it to the next level. We can help give them hands-on experience and enough for each and every student to have the opportunities to learn in the best way possible.
