I am a first grade teacher in Kentucky! I am so lucky to teach 1st grade. It is a magical place. My students are so curious and have a love of learning and exploring! I have a classroom that fluctuates between 20-24 students. In our classroom, we are a family that cares about each other and we do a lot of social/emotional learning. In addition to that, we learn to strengthen our reading skills. 1st grade is where the reading magic happens! Students arrive knowing to read short sentences a little here and there and leave reading paragraphs by the end of the year. They become writers and mathematicians too! While we do receive some of the basic supplies needed to run our classroom, the things that make are classroom magical are the things that either I have purchased myself with my own personal funds or they have been funded by people like you! Thank you for your interest and donations!
