I teach a fantastic class full of inquisitive and energetic second and third grade students. My students love to learn and are always willing to take on a challenge. Seeing them grow as learners brings me great joy. In this wonderful group, I have many students with learning disabilities, ADHD, behavior issues, and/or live in stressful situations. The outcome for many of my students is that they have a hard time focusing and engaging in their academic studies. The stability balls I have requested would give my students an outlet to exert that extra energy allowing them to be more successful and focus on their studies.
My school is a charter school that serves students in grades K to 8. There are approximately 400 students in our building that come from diverse backgrounds, 42% are from low income families.
