  • In Need of Classroom Supplies, Please Help!

    Thank you so very much for your donation to our Classroom Supply project. We use our new book boxes every day and they are very sturdy. Our old ones were plastic and were falling apart. The kids are taking very good care of them and are so proud of their own book box.

    We are also using our new headphones each day. The headphones have great sound quality. These headphones are used in our "Listen to Stories" Center each day.

    We also LOVE our Surf Desk! This desk is so special, it is used as a reward for one new student each day that earned it with hard work and great behavior.

  • Building Healthy Brains!

    We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity. My first grade students use our new building materials several times a week. To begin with the students were beyond excited to receive the materials from your generous donations! They began working in small groups in a free choice format which allows them time to learn and explore. Soon after, we began having time to communicate a plan of what they want to build, experiment and build within a purposeful lesson.

  • Needed: Technology for Children to Succeed in Today's World

    Thank you so much for our new mini iPad and Osmo system. The students were so excited to receive our new technology in the mail. It has be 4 days since we've begun rotating turns using our Osmo.

    Osmo is providing a level of hands on and individualized opportunities for my students. They can work with letters to create words, listen to the sounds for phonics practice and play word games. There is also numbers for the students to solve equations in different ways in a fun game. Both of these games are played on the iPad and the students use actual letters and numbers on the table to solve the questions. There is an Osmo projection camera that picks up the picture as the student works.

    The students have rotated through taking turns on the Osmo. They are completely engaged and the really great thing is the Osmo provides independent work at their individual level. If you have a preschool/ School aged child, I highly recommend this amazing tool!”
