  • Lets get our creative juices flowing in kindergarten .

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

Thank you so much for the art supplies and generous donations to my classroom. Your support means the world to me and will truly make a difference in the education and creativity of my students. I am incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity.

My students were so very excited to see all of the boxes arrive. As we opened them, we talked about how we would be able to use these items to extend our learning. It was also a great time to share how our community extended beyond our school and that others were invested in their learning.

We look forward to using our creative juices in kindergarten.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Miller

  • Hands on Learning

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

These items significantly increased student engagement during a difficult learning time. Students who started their educational experience during covid experienced a different learning experience and had to navigate a new world while their teachers learned to teach in a different world. By giving my students these tools it helped me to reach them when I wasn't allowed to get near them.

By the student having the exact same tools that I had, I was able to model exactly what I wanted them to do and they were able to follow and be engaged because they had the same tools I did. We were all successful thanks to your generous donations.”

  • Organize My Way to Success!

    Funded Jul 7, 2022

Thank you for providing the resources that my students needed to stay organized. By providing students with the tools necessary, everything that students were using had a home. This meant that students created a routine of where to find and where to put items. Creating this skill allows students to reduce time off task. They are quickly and confidently able to find the material that they need. This increases the amount of instruction and practice time for the student which is vital to the future success of everyone.”

    Mrs. Miller

  • Back to School Success

    Funded Nov 16, 2022

My students are so excited to have the items that they need to be successful in the classroom. As a teacher in a school that focuses on using PBIS, students are thrilled to have the tools they need to help them to be responsible for their learning. There is a place to put everything so they know where the items are and they know where to put them when they are finished. Things are lost. No one is frustrated because they lost an assignment or pencil. The students have a sense of pride in making sure that they are taking care of their learning tools.

My student's faces lit up with excitement to see that they had "new" supplies ready for them. For most of my class these are the only new items they will have. As a teacher it was an amazing feeling to see that everyone was happy to put their items away and no one had to say I don't have that. Everyone had everything that they needed. It made for a great beginning to our year.”

  • Kindergarten Coding

    Funded Dec 20, 2019

Thank you so much for the contributions for our bee bots. My students were so excited to begin coding with the robots. This project is helping to integrate several standards at the same time it is giving them hands on experience with a skill that will carry them into the future. We will use these robot to teach computer technology integrated with science, math and reading. This integrated teaching will create well rounded learners who are prepared for the future.

As a school that is one hundred percent free lunch to see this support come into our classroom was thrilling for the students to see the new technology arrive.”

  • Engage Kindergarten

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Through your support I am able to keep my students engaged in learning. I am now able to use technology to keep my students engaged in learning. We can use interactive tools such as flipgrid, that allows students to work together. I am able to use gonoodle to allow students the brainbreaks that are so important for young learners. My google slides can incorporate music and animation that captures the attention of young scholars and helps them retain the information. Prior to receiving my new computer I would experience a lag in speaking, this would frustrate the students and discourage them from participating. Now we are able to consistently participate in classroom discussions that you would see in a brick and mortar setting.”

As a young scholar it is so important to have an inviting space. Our building might be old but our classrooms can be turned into very inviting spaces. With these alternative seating options my students will be able to spent time with some new quality literature. These books represent culturally diverse authors helping to expose young readers to a variety of topics. These include minority authors, science exploration, and themes on kindness. All of these really exemplify that everything I ever need to know I learned in kindergarten, or at least that everything I did in kindergarten helped me to learn to love learning.
