As a special education teacher, I try to make my classroom stimulating, engaging, and fun. My students, many of whom have struggled academically for years due to learning, attentional, and behavioral disabilities, still come into our classroom with smiles each day. They truly want to improve their skills, learn, and feel good about themselves. I am constantly trying to find engaging materials and activities to spark their interest and make them critical thinkers, while simultaneously providing them with content instruction at their ability levels. Awhile back, I found Brainpop.com. It is an amazing resource, but I have worn out my free trial. The summary of this website is: Engaging, current, fun! I appreciate that there is research support behind their methods and they have a piece on almost any topic you can think of! Now, I am just seeking the $$ for a subscription. Thank you for any support you can provide!
