ILearn through Ipads
Funded Feb 24, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your donation to our technology project. The students were very excited to get the Ipads and to begin using them in our classroom. They have been a valuable resource for us to use. We went over how to use our Ipads properly and the kids have been so gentle with them.
I have seen students who dislike reading become engaged in reading while using apps on the Ipads. I have one student in particular that now tells me what he read, answers questions about it, and is excited for the next story. Prior to getting the Ipads, getting him to read was a painful task.
We also have used the Ipads to do some research projects in our room. It is great to have the extra technology, and they are easily portable which allows us to move our learning out of the room.
Thank you so much!”

Start the Day the Right Way!
Funded Aug 21, 2015These morning work binders have been phenomenal to have in the classroom. The children use them every morning when they come in. They took a lot of prep at first, but once they were created and taught the kids knew what was expected and can use them independently. It's wonderful when I'm out that I can just include in my sub plans that the students have morning work binders. I don't have to prep any extra work.
In the binders students practice calendar and math skills daily. When they finish their math practice, they switch to weekly spelling word practice. All of their supplies are housed in the binders.
Thank you so much for your donations. The binders have been a great asset to our class!”

Technology Turns the World
Funded Feb 13, 2013Thank you so much for the generous donations to fund our Ipod project. The students were thrilled to see the new additions to our classroom. We spent a lot of time discussing the rules for using them, and the students showed a lot of care toward them. Everyone was very excited to use the new learning games that we downloaded. The IPods are used primarily during reading and math centers.
The IPods gave us a chance to use technology in a new way. Out of four computers in our classroom, two of them tend to be continuously broke, the IPods provide another means for accessing technology. They also give the students a chance to use technology that they may not have at home.”

The Center of our Learning
Funded Dec 31, 2010Dear Donor,
I wanted to send a big thank you your way! The students in my class love our brand new items. When the custodian brought the boxes in they were beyond elated. They were so excited to have brand new items.
We started incorporating them into our daily routine this week. They are amazing resources. It is great to have center items that are already constructed. I can apply the time that I would usually use to make center materials, to other areas of my classroom.”

A Meeting Space with Space!
Funded Oct 7, 2010Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. The rug is amazing. It is bilingual, which is great for our english language learning students. The rug also is very bright and makes us feel very upbeat and cheerful.
The morning that the class came in and saw the rug for the first time was awesome. They were so excited to see it and to have something brand new in our classroom. We have a lot of "hand me downs", and it's great to have something of our own.
This new space provides us with assigned seating, which takes away some of the distractions we normally have. I have seen our learning improve greatly. Thank you so much.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Perry
