When asking my 1st grade students what they wish we had in our classroom, they mentioned a new station that allowed the opportunity to design and construct their own creations. My students are active and enjoy opportunities for movement when transitioning to various locations in our classroom. Station and small group time is their chance to choose a different working spot in our room. The problem is we do not have many stations or resources to provide this hands-on learning opportunity. I know this classroom addition would create a more exciting and engaging environment for my first graders! With your help, I can create a new, engaging area in our room by providing a Makerspace station option! By simply adding this one resource to our classroom, I know students will become even more excited about our activities and look forward to utilizing these materials EVERY DAY!
