Our 21st century society and advancements in technology have helped students with disabilities access information and share their knowledge. Unfortunately, many low income schools (such as mine) have limited and often outdated technology. Increasing the number of iPads in my classroom would allow my students to have grade level text read aloud, find unique and creative ways to share their learning, have close-up access to anchor charts and resources at their fingertips, and to learn skills that will increase their independence now and in the future. We will use these devices constantly throughout the school day in all subject areas.
