My first grade classroom at Waikoloa Elementary and Middle School is a safe and engaging space for my students. Many of the students in our area come from poverty, as the geographically isolated location of the school doesn't offer many employment opportunities for parents. We also have a very high English Language Learner population. The students are eager to learn and love to read.
