Colorful Centers/Stations
Funded Nov 28, 2022I want to thank all of you for your generous donation. Because of your donation, students in my class could have colored copies of some of their work. Being a kindergartner and having access to a color printer has created excitement among the students. Many of their games, vocabulary words, research booklets, alphabet cards, and sound charts needed to be in color so students could use them daily. This has helped students that are new to the country so they can see images in color. When it comes to recreating similar images in their drawings, students are able to use appropriate colors.
Having colorful centers create excitement for the games. Currently, students are researching various trees, and each group has chosen a tree. The research booklets in color provided students with details on what those trees look like. So when the students write their independent writing pieces, the drawing can be detailed based on the images booklets. Moreover, when it comes to creating their diagrams of the tree and animals, students can use the details from their drawings.
For students new to the country and students that are English Language learners have benefitted from having things printed for them in color so they can not only learn the language but are also exposed to the content. Overall, all of the students have benefited from having a printer. Thank you again for your support! The class and I appreciate it.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Noreen-Hamilton
