    Thank you for giving towards our classroom project! Your generosity has helped my students to be able to learn more about technology, in a more interactive way at times, and by "playing"! My students come into my classroom and look forward to their time to go to the Ipad center, or Ipad classroom time. This has made parts of their academic day seem more fun, which in turn, gets them more involved in what is going on in the classroom. Some of our favorite apps include Accelerated Reader, Hooked on Phonics, Bubble Math, Splash Math, Handwriting Without Tear, and many more! Thank you again for giving towards this project for our classroom!”

    My students were excited the day that my box of materials arrived. They could not wait for me to open the box and show them all the new items we had for our classroom. The one that they like the most was the sandbox with the kidfetti in it. They have also enjoyed the whisper phones. It was a joy to see them get excited after I took each item out of the box.

    I have loved having materials that I can use with my students that allow them to have a more hands on approach to learning. We have used our sentence puzzles to learn how to create a complete thought, begin each sentence with a capital letter, and choose the correct punctuation mark for the sentence. The whisper phones have been used in both reading and math. My students have read sight words, books, and familiar sentences while listening to themselves with the whisper phones. We have counted by ones, fives, and tens while listening to ourselves as well. This is a lot of fun for my students! The magnetic board has been very helpful in learning how to segment and spell words. We have truly enjoyed each of our items. We are very grateful for them. Thank you for your donations that made it possible for us to be able to have each and everyone of these materials in our classroom!”

I am an elementary special education teacher. I teach in a very rural area. My students come from different racial and ethnic backgrounds. Most of the area lives in poverty. The majority of my students receive reduced or free meals. Though my students do not all come to school with everything they are supposed to bring, they always come with a smile. My students are eager to learn. When we work together in my classroom my students' faces "light up" with excitement. I love coming to school everyday with the opportunity to share the love that I have for learning with my students. Each student I have is unique and requires very individualized instruction. We work on their individual levels and goals.
