I teach fourth grade in a small mid-city school. We have approximately 275 students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Sixth Grade. We have about 30 hearing impaired students most of whom mainstream into the regular classrooms during at least part of the day. We serve a variety of ethnic backgrounds and many of these students come to us speaking little or no English. Our district provides free breakfast for all students. About half the students at our school receive free and reduced lunch. Our staff is committed to the success of EVERY student in our building.
