• A “Read Aloud” Book for Everyone!

  Thank you so so much for funding this project for read aloud. The students love having a copy of the book in front of them during Read Aloud.

  When i read to the children they have the book in front of them and have the ability to look at the pictures and really connect with the text.

  When they turn and talk to each other they use the book to reference certain parts. They form ideas and support their thinking with the text.

  When they answer questions they refer to specific parts and use quotes directly from the book.

  It has been an amazing experience. Thank you”

• Help Us Become Better Writers!

  Thank you so much for funding this grant for help with my writing center. It means so much to me that you support schools and teachers like me who only want the best for the children.

  Our writing center is amazing. The children have access to materials they need to be the best writers they can be.

  The writing center is now organized because of the paper organizer. The organizer is full of differentiated papers to meet their needs. The pen/pencils are organized and post it's are easy to access. The writing center is wonderful now: thank you.”

• A Book for Everyone!

  Thank you so much for funding this project!! The children were so surprised when the box came and they each had a copy of the story we are reading in Read Aloud.

  They are now able to have the book in front of them while i read to them. When they turn and talk they can refer back to specific parts of the story.

  When they are writing about their reading, they also use the book to show their thinking and explain different parts of the books.

  This has been an amazing donation and extremely appreciated by the children. Thank you so much.”

• Teachers Pay Teachers... More Like Teachers Save Teachers

  Thank you so much for supporting my project for a "Teachers Pay Teachers" gift card.

  We have used this gift card so much to differentiate our classwork to meet our students needs. With this card we are able to purchase resources for all subject areas that challenge the high level learners and give support to our lower level learners.

  The activities, games, and supplements are fun and engaging and the students love learning.

  In addition, we have purchased a lot of resources for our LTR (Learn to Read ) program which combines guided reading and word study.

  These resources help meet the needs of our students in small groups.

• Scholastic Magazine for Second Graders

  Thank you for helping fund a subscription to Scholastic Magazine. This has been such an incredible resource this year and we would not have been able to have this tool if not for donors choose and your generous donations.

  We use Scholastic in many ways. During out nonfiction unit, we used the magazine to help students identify and discuss the various features of nonfiction. (Bullets, photos, bold print, captions, labels, diagrams, maps). These are important, especially for our lower level readers who have difficulty reading the text. They are able to learn from the features.

  We learned a lot things about Science and Social studies from these magazines. Issues about animals and current events will addressed in them. Students got to focus on Social emotional learning and coping skills. These magazines are extremely child friendly and beneficial.

• Desk Pets for Social Emotional Learning!

  Thank you for supporting the project for desk pets in the classroom. These little incentives have been extremely motivating this year! These children have been through so much emotionally with the pandemic and its our job to get them back on track.

  With the use of desk pets, we are able to motivate the children to work harder to reach their goals in all subject areas.

  We have many students with focusing and sensory issues and the desk pets help sooth their emotional needs as well.

• Speaker to Help Us HEAR!

  We cant thank you enough for funding this project. As soon as this speaker came, we immediately set it up and used it. Its impact has already been felt in our classroom.

  Unfortunately, during the pandemic, many of the classrooms in our school were remote. During that time, the smartboard in our classroom stopped working. The speakers do not work either.

  When we try to play a learning video, or have a movement break, the only sounds you can hear are the sounds coming from the laptop. With the noise from the air purifiers, the windows being open and the noise in the hall, it is so hard to hear....

  This speaker is incredible. We can hear what is being played down the hall! We immediately started incorporating even more technology into our daily learning now that we have this speaker. Thank you so so much!”

• Dry Erase Dots for Independent Learning!

  Thank you so much for the brand new dry erase markers, slates, and erasers.

  My students are so excited to use these new items.

  Before we got this project funded, my students were using slates that were very old, dirty, cracked, and unable to erase. Some of the slates had permanent marker on them and we were unable to clean them.

  Many of the erasers were broken and we using paper towels as erasers which was causing not only a mess but we were wasting paper towels!!!

  And markers..... they just werent good. Either they were broken, missing caps, or not good quality and would not work on the slates.

• Brand New Dry Erase Boards Please!

  Thank you SO Much for the brand new dry erase boards. We are so excited to use them and the moment the box arrived, we unpacked them and the children began to use them.

  We use them in our word study period- the children listen during a dictation and write the letters, words, and sounds that they hear. Then they hold the board right above their head and im able to quickly see who understands and who needs support.

  In math, the students have access to the boards to help them quickly add and subtract using different strategies. then they can share their work with a partner and discuss.

  for my students with processing disabilities, i am able to quickly grab a board and write or draw a scaffold for them to help meet the grade level standards.

  Thank you so much for supporting my project. Teachers pay teachers is an incredible resource that helps teachers differentiate their instruction to meet the needs of the learners.

  We have a class of 30 students, many of whom are currently not meeting grade level standards. We have some ENL and IEP students who also need different resources to help them meet their standards.

  This giftcard will help purchase materials that will be used this year and for many years to come. I hope to purchase materials for all subject areas as well as things to support the social-emotional wellbeing of the students.
