• "Time for Kids" Subscription for 3rd graders!

  Thank you so much for the Time for Kids subscription for my classroom. In addition for using it during Reading time, we use it for direct vocabulary instruction to push our higher level students. The students are so engaged because the articles are so relevant to their lives and interests. For example, the latest issue has an article about Taylor Swift who is currently one of the biggest artists in the country. All my students love her and learned so much information about her.

  The children love reading nonfiction articles and this gives them an opportunity to learn about their world. Thank you again.”

• Winter Gloves, Hats, and Scarves for Everyone.

  Thank you for funding this project. Before Christmas break, we were able to give each student in our class brand new items to keep them warm. Each child got a new hat, pair of gloves, and a cozy fleece scarf. We received such amazing feedback from the families! The children were so excited and appreciative of this gift. Some children never had a full set of warmth items before. This could not have been possible without Donors Choose. This project came just in time for the nor-easters and the possible frigid temperatures we have been having. Many of my students walk and take the school bus and it makes me so happy that they have these items to keep them warm. Thank you again.”

• Ink for Classroom Printer!

  Ink cartridges for our classroom printer. With this ink we are able to print differentiated materials to

  meet the needs of all the diverse learners in the classroom.

  We are able to print out graphic organizers, games, different templates for writing. In math; we are able

  to access different tools for problem solving and fluency activities. We are able to print different examples and resources to help push our struggling learners and enrich our high level thinkers. Thank you again for supporting our classroom.”

  A teachers pay teachers gift card!!! We are able to get fun resources that are differentiated to meet the needs of all the diverse learners in the classroom. We found new, and fun activities for all subject areas. In math we found multiplication and word problems because that's what we are focusing on. In Ela we are working on theme and character work. I found so much good stuff that i am able to supplement and break the children up into different small groups! Everyone loves the new activities. Thank you!”

• New Classroom Chairs

  Thank you so much for the new classroom chairs for my coteacher and i. Our old chairs were falling apart and dangerous since the arm rest and back were broken.

  These chairs are so comfortable when we sit at the desk to analyze student work and plan for lessons.

  We are also able to roll around the room to quickly conference with children and small groups who need support.

• Read Aloud Books for Everyone!

  Thank you so much for supporting my project for Read aloud books for the children. The children appreciate getting the materials they needed in order to be successful.

  Unfortunately the company was unable to get the books but i was able to get other items they needed. We got the children pens and pencils which is something they really needed. We got oversized post it chart paper to write anchor charts and ink cartridges to print the materials the children need. Thank you so much for always supporting teachers and classrooms.”

• New Books for Our Library!

  Thank you for always supporting our projects and for getting this project funded. We are a 3rd grade ICT class that is made up of 27 students on many different levels. Our library really needed a makeover. Many of our students came into 3rd grade reading on or above level, and our library did not have enough high level books to support them.

  We sent them to other classrooms but the other rooms did not have a lot of books to share with us.

  Thanks to your funding- we were able to fill our library with books that are on or above grade level. The children love taking out these fresh books. Thanks again for all your support.”

• Help Us Get New Expo Markers for the New Year

  New expo markers. We use markers for literally every subject. In word study we write the new words and sentences on dry erase boards. In math we use them to solve problems involving all 4 operations.

  The child take very good care of this donation and take ownership of the materials. Before this donation we had no markers to use and the ones we did have were old and dried up.

• Help us Organize our Writing Center

  Thank you for the materials we needed for our classroom writing center.

  With your generous donation, we now have a nicely organized space for the children to go to during Writing and throughout the day. We are constantly writing and need materials such as paper, pencils, crayons, markers, and post its.

  The drawer organizer helps us keep our differentiated paper and activities organized and easily accessible by the children . they love using it.

  The pen/pencil organizer helps keep the materials organized and the children take ownership and pride in these new items.

• Class Set of Headphones Please!

  Thank you so much for the brand new headphones! We cant thank you enough.

  Now the children have access to their own pair of fresh headphones to use during the day. The children use laptops for various reasons through out the day. In reading, the children use Raz Kids to work on comprehension and fluency skills they need. In Math, the children are working in stations and using Splash learn to improve their math skills.

  During down time- the children are able to use the technology to work on their individual goals independently.

  These headphones make this work possible!
