Kindergarten is such a fun and amazing age and group to teach! Some students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning to imitate sounds, hold a pencil or strengthen their fine motor skills. Kinder kiddos love to play, learn new things, and socially interact with their peers. In our class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences.
The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, following directions, and accessing general education content in different ways.
We celebrate together each day whether it be a small accomplishment or a huge one.
This year has been unlike any other year in my 10 years of teaching. I miss my sweet kiddos so much. I cannot wait to be back in school. Even though I will have a new group of Kinder kiddos, I want to make this year the best it can be!
Kindergarten is the first steppingstone in the world of education and I don't want COVID to steal ANY of the joy within the four walls of my classroom. One of the best ways to solidify newly learned concepts is to PLAY! Hence the reason for the variety of learning and STEM based games. The STEM activities will help with fine motor skills and also a fun way to explore and be creative.
We are living in uncertain times with the newly discovered COVID-19, and I would like to make sure my students are safe at all times and we are following the guidelines. That being said, I would like to get masks, lanyards to hook the masks on, mesh bags for cleaning toys, and pencil boxes for keeping supplies separated!
Thank you for taking the time to look over my requests!
