• Lights on Dramatic Play!

  Thank you so much for these donations. My students love using our light table during morning tubs as well as during Learning Labs. One activity we had was little locks where the students had to match the key with the correct lock. On the keys were simple words for the kids to sound out and then match to the lock with the matching picture. They also did this activity with addition and subtraction facts on the keys and the answers on the locks.

  Another activity was printed addition and subtraction facts on mini carrots. The kids had to solve the problems and feed it to little bowls with bunnies that had the answers to the problems.

  The students loved using the new stuffed animals in our Veterinarian Dramatic Play Center. They used pretend play to take care of the animals, while learning about this career and further developing their language skills.

• Fun With Lights!

  Thank you so much for helping fund our project for a large light table. My students use this table every day in class. They love see the light shine on different materials that I set up for them to explore on the light table. My students have used Magna Blocks (magnetic see through shapes) to build various things on this table. I also set up morning stations for them to work on reading and writing skills. For example, I set up sensory trays with beads in them and hid locks and keys in them. The keys either had addition and subtraction problems on them or phonetic words that could read. Then they had to find the matching lock that had the answer or picture on it. Another morning station was set up with paper flies (with math facts printed on them) hidden in the beads, and they had to solve the problems and then feed the paper frog to the froggy cup that had the correct answer on it. The students are absolutely loving this light table in our classroom. Thank you so much!”

• Inka, Binka, Bottle of Ink!

  Thank you so much for your very generous donations and for supporting our classroom on DonorsChoose! The ink provided from this project is currently being used in our classroom printer. We use the ink to print out morning tubs activities, reading and math games, certificates, and so much more! We go through a lot of ink each year, and your donations helped keep our printer full of ink. Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and my kindergarten friends! It takes a village to raise our children and I am blessed to have wonderful donors from our community to help us out!”

• Prizes Galore!

  Thank you so much for all your generous donations. My students are working hard to earn prize box toys each month. This last month my kids did a wonderful job earning tickets to purchase Smencils. They love all the unique smells each of the pencils has as well as the print on the pencil and the pencil tubes.

  The students are more focused, participating more and more engaged in our lessons, as they work hard to earn their tickets to use each month.

• Painting Our Way Through Kinder!

  Thank you so much for finding our project. My kids absolutely love using the painting easel during Learning Labs. They have made fall paintings, copies of famous artworks, and painting of what makes them happy. They enjoy going to the art lab. It is one of the first labs to fill up every day. When we return from winter break, the kids will be making artwork to show what they did over the break as well as making a winter scene as we begin our next unit. Thank you so much for helping our class and for providing the easel and painting supplies for our classroom!”

• Learning Fun with Osmos!

  Thank you for funding this project for additional games for our Osmos. We only had them for a short time before Covid-19 shut us down, but my students loved playing with them. The math and literacy games are so much fun for them. I love seeing my kids learning in a hands on way, while they feel like they are playing a game. I can't wait for my new students this year to get a chance to use them as well. I know the kids will benefit from the educational aspect of them, while having a ton of fun at the same time. • Light Up Our Lives

  Thank you so much for funding our project. These materials are sitting in my room waiting for the day when we are allowed to teach in the classroom again. Unfortunately Covid-19 has shut down our in person learning, and we have been on distance learning since March 2020. These materials will be easy to disinfect in between students using them, so I am excited we have them available when the time comes. Students will use them when we are allowed to resume Learning Labs time as well as Morning Tubs. I know my students will love them! Thank you so much!”

  Thank you so much for providing our class with ink for our printer. Being in a distance learning format has required me to print out a lot of things for my students as well as teaching materials to use during both synchronous and asynchronous learning. These materials allow me to print our worksheets, lesson plans, projects, games, and so much more. Our printer was completely out of ink, so this came at the perfect time. Thank you so much for providing us ink for our distance learning adventure!”

• Hands-on Learning Fun!

  Thank you so much for funding our project! I have used several of these items while we are learning in a distance learning format. As we began this school year learning the letter sounds, I was able to use the alphabet activities to show them words that begin with each letter of the alphabet. I was able to use the letter tiles to build words on Zoom that the students could sound out and read. Other materials will be saved until we are back to in-person teaching and learning. • Hands-On Learning Fun!

  Thank you so much for supporting and believing in our project. Most of the materials requested for this project are sitting in our classroom, waiting for the students to return to in-person learning. I know the kids will love these games as they build their reading, and math skills. The alphabet picture magnets are used in our Zoom classroom throughout our distance learning experience. We used them to identify beginning sounds of words at the beginning of the school year as we learned all 26 letter names and sounds. I can't wait for my students to use the other items once we go back to the classroom. Thank you so much!”
