A Spot for Technology; I'm Sure You'll Agree
Funded Oct 6, 2015From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank each and every one of you. Your generous donations have allowed us to create our individual working spaces for both, lessons and weekly assessments. The computer desk has greatly helped, not only tidy up our space, but also given the children a much more comfortable and more appropriate space for their computers- at the correct height! Our classroom file cabinet (which we were in desperate need of) has helped me, the teacher, to not only safely file student work, but it also lets me lock important materials that need to be securely stored. We are over the moon with the way our classroom has come together and hope to continue improving so that the children always have a pleasant environment to learn and work in. Thank you, thank you!”

It's The Simple Things That Make Life Easier!
Funded Mar 1, 2015It is with most sincere gratitude that I write this message. Since receiving our supplies, our classroom organization has improved greatly. Our students love using their "mailboxes." It was a huge help, especially during our testing preparation period. Students were able to store their (various) practice packets in a way that they were protected and wouldn't get wrinkled/lost, as opposed to storing them in their small desks. The laminator refills have also helped protect useful resources, thus allowing me the opportunity to reuse them year after year.
In a nutshell, I must admit, our/my days have been greatly simplified! Thank you, thank you!”

A Nook For A Good Book
Funded Jul 24, 2014Thank you all so very much, from the bottom of our First Grade hearts! We genuinely appreciate your each of help/donations that allowed us to have a nice, and cozy reading nook. We use our little nook everyday, both in whole group, as well as in small group instruction. It is nice to be able to sit together and read books, discuss lessons or just simply sit with a puzzle in a quiet area. Having a comfortable, inviting place to go to makes learning so much more fun! We hope to make many wonderful memories from the stories and lessons we share here! Once again, thank you!”

Projecting our Future
Funded Oct 7, 2013Please receive a heart-felt "THANK YOU" from my entire first grade class (and myself.) We are, and will be, eternally grateful for your help and donation. We have already begun to incorporate our projector into our lesson plans and I can, honestly, tell you it has made a huge difference! The children are much more engaged. When we play videos, they are always asking for more. What more can I ask for? Their happiness is my happiness. I am certain this will make their first grade experience a much more pleasant one. I hope that, together, we have just planted a seed that will grow into a tree of knowledge. People like you- who care about our children's education, are the real difference our world needs! May your generosity be multiplied tenfold.”

Funded Jan 17, 2012It is with great appreciation that I direct this message to you, donors. Our class is very grateful for your help in allowing us to obtain the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. This has been a very helpful resource, as our children are more motivated to complete their required assignments in a timely fashion.
We have been able to obtain various applications. Some of the children's favorites are the math games. They get to have fun while learning! I have also purchased book "apps" which give the children the choice of reading stories or having the stories read aloud to them. This particular application is neat because is has many classic story books the boys and girls love to hear/read.
I have seen great growth in my boys and girls this school year. To see them complete their classwork correctly (and quickly) just to have a turn at the tablet definitely puts a smile on my face! :)
There is a world of knowledge these boys and girls have yet to explore and my goal is to make them realize this one step at a time.
Thank you all for making this possible.
