  • Adding Color to the Library!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

I am incredibly grateful for your generous support in funding a color printer for our library. Your contribution will make a significant impact on our students' learning experiences, allowing them to engage with vibrant visuals that enhance their understanding and participation in various activities.

With this printer, I can create colorful visual aids, charts, and interactive stations that bring lessons to life. More importantly, our students will have the opportunity to actively participate by designing their own materials, fostering creativity and engagement in literacy, research, and storytelling.

Your generosity will help transform our library into an even more dynamic and inspiring space, where learning is both meaningful and enjoyable. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our students and for supporting their educational journey.”

  • Fun with Stem In The Library!

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support in enhancing our elementary library's creative art supplies. Having the opportunity to complement our children's literature collection with these materials is truly exciting.

At Martin School, we are deeply passionate about fostering a love for reading and creativity in our students. We believe that combining literature with hands-on artistic activities will greatly enrich their learning experiences, and your support is a crucial part of making that possible. With your help, we aim to create an immersive environment where children can explore stories not only through reading, but also through artistic expression.

The addition of creative supplies such as paint markers, crayons, construction paper, and materials for STEM and collage activities will allow our students to bring their favorite characters and scenes to life. By illustrating scenes from beloved books, designing their own book covers, or creating character puppets, they will deepen their understanding of the stories and engage in critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression.

We are confident that, thanks to your support, we will be able to create a dynamic, inspiring space where children's literature comes alive through imagination and creativity. Thank you for considering this important initiative and for your commitment to enriching the educational experiences of our students.”

  • Empowering Literacy and Creativity with Pixton Comics in Our Library

    Funded Apr 21, 2024

Thank you for your generous support of our library's mission to be a vibrant hub of learning and creativity. With your help, we are excited to introduce Pixton Comics to our library community, providing students with an innovative platform to enhance their literacy skills, foster imagination, and express their unique voices.

Pixton's user-friendly tools and customizable features will allow our students to explore the art of comic creation, bringing stories to life in dynamic and interactive ways. Through this project, they'll develop critical thinking as they script their comics, build digital literacy as they navigate the platform, and gain a deeper appreciation for storytelling.

This initiative will also serve as a versatile educational resource across subject areas. From illustrating key concepts in Social Studies to crafting creative narratives in English Language Arts, Pixton Comics will empower students to express their understanding in meaningful and engaging ways.

Your support enables us to enrich the educational experience of our students, igniting their passion for learning and creativity. We are truly grateful for your commitment to helping us foster a love of reading, writing, and self-expression at Martin School”

  • Empower Diverse Learners for Academic Independence

    Funded Dec 5, 2023

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredibly generous donation. The impact of the iPads and additional tools you provided has been truly remarkable. The increase in student engagement has been incredible to witness, and it's all thanks to your kindness and support.

A firsthand account of the significance your donation has had on one student:

I have trouble with reading and writing. Dysgraphia is trouble thinking and putting it down on a piece of paper. For instance, I have really good ideas but I have trouble spelling. As a result, nobody can read what I write if I handwrite it. I also have dyslexia. Dyslexia is trouble reading. I have worked really hard learning to sound out my words but I still have trouble understanding what I read.

Unfortunately, school right now is horrible. School right now is horrible because I don't have the right equipment to show how smart I am. Here's what I mean by that. My trouble is that I need worksheets and papers digital so I can have them read to me and I can speak into it and it will type for me. That helps because I don't have to worry about spelling and my teachers can read what I'm saying. When Mrs. Gagnon puts my materials on the computer for me the program we have only lets me speak and type, but it won't read it to me . As a result, I spend half of my day with Mrs Gagnon and not with my friends in class.

I feel super happy that I'm getting this new technology so I can actually learn in school. I am starting to be excited about school because I'm getting new technology all because of you guys. I'm not going to have to be alone in another room learning with Mrs Gagnon as much anymore. Now I'm going to be able to be in class with all my friends and do all this work on my own. Thank you so much for donating.

Thank you from the bottom of my students' and my heart.”

    Mrs. Doucette

  • Preserving Books Preservation Project

    Funded Dec 3, 2023

On behalf of [School/Library Name], I would like to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation towards our mission of fostering a love of reading and learning among our students. Your support is invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of maintaining a well-maintained and accessible library collection for all.

With your contribution, we are now able to invest in a much-needed book repair machine. This machine will play a crucial role in extending the life of our books, many of which have been well-loved and are in need of repair due to extensive use and normal wear and tear over the years. By repairing torn pages, loose bindings, and damaged covers, we can ensure that our collection remains in good condition and usable for many more years to come.

Not only does your donation help us preserve our library collection, but it also promotes sustainability by reducing the need for constant replacements. By conserving paper and other resources, we are taking a step towards a more environmentally friendly approach to maintaining our library.

The impact of your generosity extends beyond the walls of our library. With a well-maintained collection, our students, teachers, and staff will have access to a wide range of books, from classic literature to educational resources and beloved children's stories. These books serve as valuable tools in promoting literacy and a love of reading among our young learners.

Once again, thank you for your support and dedication to our cause. Your donation will make a lasting difference in the lives of our students and the success of our library.”

  • Let's Explore Our National Parks Through Beautiful Books!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Our students really enjoy learning about our National Parks. Last spring, our fourth graders were able to do extensive research projects using our new National Park resources. Which helped them create beautiful books about each park. Allowing them to become authors!

Many of our students will not have the opportunity to visit these wonderful National parks to see their resources in full glory. Being able to read and view amazing photographs has been life-changing for many of them.

Once again thank you for your time and donation to support our students. You have definitely made a huge impact on their learning and discovery.”

Research shows that students work better in collaborative groups. These tables will help my students to easily work together without restricting boundaries. Students will have the opportunity to use the large work space to complete higher level thinking projects. With these tables I will now be able to provide all of my students with the choice to work wherever they feel they can learn best in my room. These tables also aid in our ability to come back together during times of collaboration to work together in large groups. In first grade we are building a base for this life skill. Helping them become the best learners they can be is my lifelong goal.
