Microphone Magic
Funded May 13, 2019Thank you for your generosity and kindness! We have used our new microphone system in many educational and fun circumstances. During our student talent show, students used the microphone to perform; some sang, while others gave an introduction speech before performing a dance or a hula hoop performance. When we had special presenters, they were able to use the microphone to better project the presentation. During our I.B. presentations, students were eager to present because of the microphone! It became a great motivator for students to speak up. Thank you!”

Funded Feb 3, 2019We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity! Your generosity will go a long way in our classroom. We are already using the Chromebook in various ways. In our reading center, students are able to use it to listen to an audio recording of a reading passage read by their teacher as they follow along to read. We also use it for reading e-books on MyOn. In addition, we are using it to complete their i-ready sessions when time permits. The possibilities are endless...and we have only begun to take advantage of the many tools and lessons we can learn from our Chromebook experiences. Thank you all!”

Colorful Classroom Carpet
Funded Jan 18, 2019We are so thankful for our big, colorful classroom carpet. Students can comfortably pick a colored box of their choice to read, listen, sing and learn on. Circle time is now a place of comfort, listening to a story is now beyond the chair, dancing is now in color, and center time now can be done on a soft carpet instead of the cold tile floor. The carpet makes the classroom feel like home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our classroom a warmer, cozier place to learn! We are beyond grateful!”

Tools for Success
Funded Aug 22, 2018We have only started the school year, but already the impact of the supplies from "Tools for Success" has been greatly felt. The document camera has made it easier to show my students how to write using finger spaces on worksheets, how to write lowercase and uppercase letters on line paper, and show them great work! In addition, the printer ink has made it possible for me to print many resources for both students and parents. I thank you for showing my students the importance of kindness and helping my students have a more successful school year!”

This has been the best gift ever! My students jump for joy when I tell them we are going to read one of our new Donorschoose books. Through the books, they have learned the importance of kindness, honesty, how to be a good friend, and so much more. I am so grateful for this gift of reading, knowledge, comprehension and life lessons you have given my students. Technological Kindergarteners
Funded Mar 27, 2018We are so grateful for these classroom supplies. First, I am able to charge all the iPads at once in the charging station. This is definitely a time saver and very helpful when several of the iPads are low in charge. Secondly, now all students in a center can use the iPads at once with this additional iPad given to us. We are so appreciative of these items that will help us grow and learn in a fun, technological way! Thank you for showing my students how important and impactful acts of kindness can really be!”

Funded Jan 25, 2018We have jumped right into our exciting STEAM projects with a little help from our donors! We are currently building houses out of household materials. Our students have created blueprints to their houses using our new charts and watercolors. We have also used the chart paper to create posters and anchor charts explaining the steps to our house-making process.

Funded Dec 28, 2017My students have had so much fun using our STEAM building sets and little do they know they have also been using their problem solving and critical thinking skills. After completing our I.B. "House is a Home" theme, students were able to build a house using the STEAM building blocks. Students created a blueprint of a house of their choice and then build it. Some built castles, skyscrapers while others built igloos and huts. It was amazing to see the ideas they came up with. We will soon begin building the vehicles and then the bridges. Thank you all for making this fun learning possible!”

Books That Teach Powerful Life Lessons
Funded Dec 31, 2017These books have truly impacted my students. They speak about situations described in the books and they have also been acting according to the books. For example, we began by reading "What If Everyone Did That?" which discusses a small bad act and shows what would happen if everyone did that one bad act. Ever since reading this book, students will tell each other- "what if everyone did that?" when a student does something they shouldn't do such as throw garbage on the floor or act mean towards another child. Other books show how far one act of kindness can go. My students truly do act more kindly towards each other after our readings. We are so grateful for these learning experiences!”

Creativity in Color!
Funded Oct 23, 2017It's the little things that make a big difference. Having a color printer in the class has made a big difference, it's given my students many advantages and helped make life easier for the teacher. It has given me more freedom in the classroom to create fun activities like menus where the students have to use adjectives to describe their menu items. We also had a subtraction lesson one day, students got the lesson and we finished with time to spare. The color printer gave me the ability to quickly and easily print another subtraction activity with colorful butterfly manipulatives. We thank you for your generosity and kindness!”
