• A Safe and Happy Classroom

  When the boxes of snacks arrived in my room today - my students were so excited to help me do an unboxing!! There were blown away by the incredible generosity of people who didn't even know them.

  Even though my students are in high school, snacks and treats are still so incredibly important! A little pick me up in the afternoon, or for some students, the opportunity to have a snack when it could be hours before they eat again.

  Most importantly, thank you for showing my students that people in our world care about them and their success. I want my classroom to be an extension of their home, and these small tokens will help me do just that!”

• Mysteries, Thrillers, and Suspense Oh My!

  Choice reading is something that is near and dear to my heart. I teach seniors in high school and many of them haven't read a book of their choosing from beginning to end. And that is why I try hard to keep my classroom library updated and full of books that I think would peak their interest.

  This project was filled with genres that are for my most struggling readers. Graphic novels, romance, and a great mystery or genres that tend to suck in my most reluctant readers.

  Thank you for showing my students that there are other people who care about their education and who also want them to be lifelong readers. We thank you and we appreciate you.”

• A Midsummer Reading

And I feel like when I can create these interactive experiences for them. It makes the learning process not only fun, but so much easier.
