  • Speak OUT-Pick up Trash!

    Funded Feb 6, 2024

Allstate Foundation, you are amazing. Thank you so much for donating to my classroom and to my students. For the last couple months, my classroom and all my students have been busy cleaning up our school each day. For the first couple weeks, students made fliers and printed them for students to hang around school next to each trash can. After lunch, students pick up trash and recycle anything necessary to recycle in the blue bin and then throw away all other trash. Students have recycled and make extra money to use for art supplies. The art supplies are fun for adding to their fliers after printed in black and white.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. D'Angelo

  • Boost Literacy

    Funded Mar 18, 2024

Thank you for your donations. My students now have the opportunity to examine different historical time periods, new cultures, and life circumstances that are different than what they are currently experiencing. Reading these novels, students will analyzing characters, students can develop empathy and learn to understand and relate to the experiences and different perspectives of others. These novels will also assist students with developing vocabulary and decoding skills, in addition to building academic stamina and reading fluency. Students will use these novels to make a bigger impact within their school community. Students will read together in groups, they will read to the second grade classroom using our buddy system, and they will become service stars at their school. Thank you again for helping my students become better readers.”

  • Promoting Wellness Through Creativity

    Funded Jan 2, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping my students with their creativity. We love all the markers, modeling clay, pencils, and scissors. My goal was to create an engaging and enriching experience for my fourth-grade students by incorporating various art supplies into our curriculum. These art tools have helped them to collaborate and create posters to promote core ideas around our school campus. I believe I can instill a sense of well-being and mindfulness in my learners, while also fostering a strong sense of community. We will continue using these supplies each month. THANK YOU”

  • Music on the RUG!

    Funded Jan 23, 2020

WOW.... our new rug is so beautiful! My students love it so much. It makes them super exited to all be able to sit together and learn. We use the rug daily for all subjects. They love to read, have math talks, and they get to share the love of music together on the rug. The rug is the center of the classroom and allows us to have a clean and soft place to sit and learn. Teamwork is a big part of our classroom and working together in groups or teams is much easier. The students can move around the classroom using the big tables, small tables, and the rug. Thank you!”

  • Comfy-Flexible Seating!

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Thank you so much for the wonderful donations! My classroom has been using the flexible seating everyday. Having the flexible seating has really helped to improve and increase student attention and focus, and will in turn increase their academic achievement and love of learning. They love being able to sit on the floor or at their desks. We work in collaborative reading groups and math groups. My students love the freedom to be able to move around the classroom and sit in different groups.

When my students saw the flexible seating desks, they were super excited to use them. They all wanted to use the desks and sit on them. After a few weeks, the students are still very excited to use the desks! Thanks again for all your donations!!!”

Students love to work with technology, but limited funding at our school has left our classroom with limited technological tools. Any educational experience with technology will provide meaningful learning experiences and motivate students to strive to reach academic excellence and to meet their twenty-first-century learning goals. My students would use these Chromebooks during small group instruction to access online curriculum. They would also be able to learn and work cooperatively with their classmates on project-based learning, learn to type, further their reading levels with programs such as Read Works and math programs such as ZEARN. Chromebooks will make a big difference in my students academic success.
