  • Books Galore

    Funded Sep 17, 2016

Thank you for your generous donation to help my students get more chapter books! These kids LOVE to read and were ready for some new and exciting books that met their needs and interest level. With these books, we have already done book studies and are starting to get to know the authors more. When a child finds a series of books they love, it makes choosing a book much easier. Second graders are reading and comprehending and now need to find what they love to read. As a teacher I want my students to LOVE to read and never feel like they just HAVE to. Thank you again for helping our classroom and enriching the love of reading in these kids.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Danburg

  • Clean Air, We Care!

    Funded Aug 19, 2016

We are thrilled to have these Clean Air products in our classroom. With allergy season here and pretty bad this year, the essential oils are coming in handy. Students love that when they are feeling congested, they know I will have peppermint scents flowing through the room to help them breathe. Sometimes in a school the air quality can smell and feel poor, so a nice fresh orange scent that is not overpowering and is actually healing is wonderful. We love our air purifiers and diffusers. Thank you very much for your donation and support of our classroom.”

  • We CAN Do It!

    Funded Aug 5, 2016

Thank you so much for your donation to the project, We CAN Do It! When the Can Do It Ball Chairs came to school I was excited to open them up and put them together! My son, mother, and I pumped them up and were immediately excited! When the students walked in and saw the chairs at orientation, they were overwhelmed and thrilled! We had to go over expectations for flexible seating right away! Now, students are able to choose if and when they need to sit on a ball chair. Students with ADHD are really enjoying them and say they help them focus. I am so appreciative of your support and donation.”

  • Cases for Classroom

    Funded Oct 8, 2015

Our class wants to thank you for your generous and kind donation. We really needed cases for our tablets in order to keep them safe. It is nice to know that when one accidentally drops it will not break or shatter. We all know that accidents happen but now our tablets are protected just in case.

My students are hard workers and learn at different speeds. These tablets and cases allow them to play learning games that are geared to their specific educational needs.Thank you again for your donation and support.”

  • Apples for the Classroom

    Funded Sep 23, 2015

The iPad came in and we are loving it! Students get to use the iPad in conjunction with our new Osmo gaming system. This technology allows students to learn in new and engaging ways. They work together in small groups to build challenging words, pictures using tangrams, and so much more.

The iPad is now part of our classroom and is a great tool for fun learning. I am loving hearing the kids say "wow" and "that is so cool" when they see their letters magically appear on the iPad. We are so thankful for all of your generous donations.

Thank you again for you kindness and support!”

    With gratitude,

  • Collaboration Station

    Funded Sep 24, 2015

I am so excited that Collaboration Station was fully funded! The Osmo gaming systems have been a HUGE hit in the classroom. We use the Osmo with our iPad during math and reading stations.

These Osmos have allowed my students to learn in fun and engaging ways. They are also working together as a team and using communication skills. I love watching the students build challenging words by using the picture clues on the iPad! The best part was hearing the "wows" and "that's SO cool" the first time the kids placed the letters on the table and they magically appeared on the iPad.

Thank you again for your support and donations! The students and I appreciate your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

  • Up Close and Personal Learning-Part 2

    Funded Mar 16, 2015

This summer I was able to attend my very first national teaching conference! It was so much fun and I learned even more. I was able to collaborate with teachers from across our nation and discuss teaching techniques, strategies, and ideas. I learned some very important reading strategies, research behind brain breaks, and even some great activities for the first thirty days of school. It is because of donors like you that I was able to do this. Thank you again for your support and donation. Without you this trip would not have been possible.”

  • Refills Please!

    Funded Dec 10, 2014

Thank you so very much for your donations for Refills Please! I love having colorful newsletters, station games, and photographs of my students! I print pictures of my students working and post them in the classroom. A few weeks ago, I had students take "selfies" and then we printed them and glued them onto a writing piece where they wrote about their best buddy in class. It is much more exciting to see things in COLOR rather than black and white. We really needed ink and thanks to all of you, we now have it!

Thank you for continuing to support our classroom and these children's education.”

  • Moving and Grooving

    Funded Nov 5, 2014

We were so excited when we got our package from the completion of this project! I was even more excited when the assembly was incredibly painless. The stools were put together with a simple snap! Students sit on a stool during computer station and guided reading, where they meet in small reading groups with me.

The stools activate the students core and spine. The first few days, it took me some time getting used to the constant movement, but now I LOVE it! The students and I would like to say THANK YOU for your generous donation.”

Our class is made up of eager students who LOVE to learn! They are creative, determined, and so much fun to be around. However, they are very diverse in the way they think and process information. They love school and work together every day, no matter the circumstance. We want to step outside of the box!! These children are ready to try new things and so am I! My class is so special and I know they will appreciate anything and everything that is donated to them.
