Help Us Get Organized!
Funded Dec 26, 2013My students were so excited to recieve these resources we had to stop lessons the day they came so they could help me set them up and get our room organized. They have been so excited that their things are all in one place and they know where to put or find their supplies. They have been telling their parents and other students about their "cool new boxes" and chair pockets that actually fit and hold things. I have had parents and other teachers come and comment on how much better things look since we recieved our items.
Since we have adjusted to having our new tools, I have also noticed they are holding each other more accountable for keeping our spaces neat and tidy and are reminding each other of where things belong and where to look if things are missing. It has taken a lot of responsibility off of me and allowed me more time to focus on my students learning. On the other hand it has also placed more responsibility on my students, making them feel more connected, and has made more time for lessons as they are able to gather materials quickly.”

Funded Sep 19, 2012I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for making a difference in my classroom. My students are so excited ALL of their work now gets to go home. My parents are enjoying seeing the work their children are producing and are reporting a better understanding of what we are learning. The hard drive has made it very easy to store all of the work digitally so I can pull everything up for conferences or other appointments. The students like watching the papers feed through the scanner too!
This is certainly a project that will be used for years to come and it wouldn't have been possible without you! You have positively changed education in my classroom permanently!”

Funded Aug 10, 2012I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your contributions to my classroom. The tablets are a huge hit with my students and makes practicing basic skills seem less of a hassle for them. The students are also learning teamwork and other necessary social skills as they have to share the tablets we received.
As you know teachers are usually the providers for the items in the classrooms and although we do have computers, having a tablet makes the students smiles so much bigger. I would not have been able to provide my students the opportunities that have now arisen since the tablets have been in our class.
Again on behalf of both my students and myself thank you for your generosity and commitment to our future generations.”

Hands-on Science Exploration
Funded May 2, 2011My students are truly enjoying learning in science thanks to the materials you have helped to provide. My students are now able to investigate individually instead of in groups because we have enough materials for each child to use. They love playing the games to practice the things they are learning and it is helping me reach my lower and higher students more efficiently. It has been awhile since the kids choose to do science during their choice time and this year my kids are asking to use the new science resources during playtime. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and help that you have provided as it is making such a difference in the learning of my students.”

Technology For The Future
Funded Apr 10, 2011My students have absolutely LOVED using the technology from this grant. I am finding they are being more creative in their work also so that they can use the new resources. My kids are acting out stories, taking pictures of their work and I am helping them to make movies online also. They are listening to music and stories on the MP3 player and they enjoy having a sense of independence with it that is not so bulky. The students are being very responsible and taking care of these items and I have heard back from a few parents already about how excited their students are about things we make. I know this grant has helped my students be more successful in their learning and has taught them skills they can use in careers or their futures.”
