• High Poverty School: Behavior Incentives

  Thank you for your support and gift to students at Grandview Middle School. Your donation will be utilized right away and we will be promoting the behavior incentives very soon. Donations to this project help alleviate the cost of running our school store, especially with all the amazing behavior happening.

  I know the Takis and lanyards are going to be a huge hit once they are added! So far this year, our team has learned a lot about how to run a positive behavior intervention and we will continue to work hard on this. Thank you again for your donation and support!”

• Growth Reading Incentives for High Growth

  Thank you so much for donating to my project! I just got the books for the vending machine and I know the kids will go crazy for them! I am super excited to share that our students have a wonderful love for reading. I am working on an intense intervention for students and the goal is to increase their reading ability up to a 4th grade level. The intervention focuses on students reading from a pre-school level to low third grade level, so the growth will be huge. When kids get growth, I'll be sure to get them coins for the vending machine! Thank you again for donating!”

  Thank you so much for the books! I just added them to the book vending machine and many of the titles were a hit! The students loved them. I can't wait to get more coins out to students. I truly appreciate your support and donation to my students and community.

  Reading is a huge initiative at Grandview Middle School and supporting independent reading in my building has been my mission. The reason for this is because I am dedicated to making sure every child can read, no matter their ability, language, or previous experience.

• High Poverty School: Reading Recovery Supports

  Thank you so much for you donation to Grandview Middle School's Reading Recovery classes. Our kids are excited to get started reading the books. We have had great success in our classes so far! The kids are growing and learning at record speed and our teachers are working hard to get students to grade level.

• High Poverty School: Reading Recovery Class Sets

  Funded Sep 21, 2023

  Thank you so much for donating to my project. The books that were donated have already made it into the Reading Recovery classes. Your support allows students to have book club books, where they can discuss their reading in groups.

  With these books, we will also be practicing multisyllabic word recognition and increasing reading automaticity and fluency. Your donation is helping over eighty students at Grandview Middle School and will pay dividends in our community.

• New Classroom Library for Special Education Class --High Poverty School

  Thank you so much for donating to our Special Education classroom. Their book shelves are beginning to come alive with awesome new and engaging titles. The kids love, love, love the books that were purchased for them. They love to read and take Accelerated Reader tests like their peers.

  Having these new titles means a lot to our Special Education teacher. She is beyond thrilled with the titles that were purchased for her and let me know that the kids check them out right away. Thank you for helping make GMS a great school to be at!”

• New Classroom Library for Special Education Class --High Poverty School

  Thank you so much for the purchase of these books! I have already received many of the books and will be giving them to my Special Education teacher this week. The teacher reached out to me for support in developing her classroom library and little by little, I know we can grow their library into something great. This particular class is filled with avid readers and they are going through the books quickly. I know they will love these new titles. I will be posting other projects for our Special Education students.
