Being a high-poverty school in Florida, none of my students have had the opportunity to participate in any type of music program. The students are hard-working and eager to please. I incorporated music in a limited fashion this past school year, including having my students go and sing at a nursing home during the holidays. Despite this being a voluntary activity, all but four of my students participated.
