Thank you so much! We’re excited about receiving “Art Books Galore!” My students will be thrilled to have art books to inspire and foster their creative expression. Our school community will be enhanced with the beautiful artwork that will be created as a result of your generosity. These books can be the catalyst to launch the next important art movement, style, or artist. Thanks for giving the gift of opportunity.”

  • Copy That!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

I am truly appreciative of your generous contributions to fund this project. With the need for visual resources being so important in the art classroom, having a color printer is truly a game changer for us. This particular printer is high volume so it allows me to print without worry of quickly running out of ink. I look forward to sharing with you the artwork produced because of theis resource. Thank you.”

  • No More Collapsing Shelves!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

I am ecstatic about the new storage shelving. They are portable, stackable, deep, and wide enough to contain three stacks of 12x18 paper side by side. These shelves instantly made the art room appear neat and organized.

My students noticed that they could access the paper they need easily. Because the shelves fit so well in our wire shelving unit, they seem to have always been there.

The large size file trays will keep our art papers neat and organized for years to come. Thank you for recognizing the importance of an organized classroom in creating a welcoming environment that is conducive to learning and creative expression.”

  • Feed Their Bodies, Feed Their Minds!

    Funded Mar 16, 2022

During afterschool art class, students were offered a snack if they did not have one or in need of something additional. I wanted to provide a healthier alternative with fewer or no preservatives, artificial colors, flavors, and less processing.

Interestingly, when offered healthier options, some students were reluctant to try them and requested their usual type of snacks. As time went on, my students grew to enjoy the healthier snacks. Imagine, kids were requesting their favorite fruit leather, fruit cup, and who can resist chocolate chip cookies and granola bars?

I teach kids the importance of eating healthy foods and being aware of how what the eat and drink affect their ability to learn. We will work on a project that will bring awareness to the school body at large.

Thank you for supporting us with your generous donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. B.

  • Access + Equity = Success!

    Funded May 9, 2022

The biggest impact of the resources you funded was simply the freedom to create and feeling of success and achievement. My kindergartners used the stampers and rollers to create beautiful banners that now adorn the art room. They enjoyed exploring the effects of the tools with paint and how the colors mixed and blended. From afar, their work looks like fabric. The kindergartners also created worlds in a jar using stencils of their choice and added details that would show an environment for their chosen fauna or flora.

My students were very curious about the materials, wanting to know what they were. Excitement ensued when I demonstrated how they can create art with the various materials. Students used the materials freely to generate a wide variety of artwork.

Currently, my fifth graders will use the light tables to create radial name designs. Stencils, stamps, and rollers continue to be used to create a wide variety of artworks including molas, and multi-media pieces.

Your generosity continues to impact my students and will for years to come. Our students are appreciative of your support of their creative expressions and learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. B.

  • Healthy and Wise!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thanks for your generous donation to help my students be healthy and wise. They will greatly appreciate the healthy snacks you have provided. It is so important for them to be able to focus on their work and not on an empty stomach. Having healthy snacks provide needed energy, especially at the end of the day without sugar overload. It sets them up to remain focused so they can learn.

We appreciate all you have done.”

  • Everything in Its Place!

    Funded Feb 14, 2022

An organized classroom is a true gift. I was more excited than my students to receive the new materials because I knew the impact it would have on their learning and my managing the art classroom.

A couple of things really stand out for me. Foremost is students' awareness of where things were located increased their level of independence as well as accountability and responsibility to return supplies as well as to take care of supplies. Another significant impact was students' awareness of the variety of materials and resources available for their use. This increased their willingness to experience and experiment with mediums they had not used before.

I continue to fine tune and organize my classroom. I want it to truly be student friendly and accessible within the bounds of respect for the classroom, materials, and each other.

These materials have truly transformed how the art room functions. Your donations have made all the difference. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. B.

  • Color, Baby, Color!

    Funded Dec 7, 2021

In my classroom, a document camera is necessary. With the document camera I can model and demonstrate what I am teaching for all my students to see at once. I project or cast the demonstration in real time to my Promethean Board which is giant android monitor. I also use it to share exemplars with students or conduct read a-louds so they can see the book pages clearly. Having a color printer is another necessity as it allows me to print images and distribute to individuals or groups, as necessary. They can view images up close and use what they see to enhance their creative expression.

My littles ones enjoy watching my demos on the screen, at first, they thought it was YouTube or TikTok videos they were viewing. It engages them more and they can follow along or apply the techniques and steps more precisely. My older students, also appreciate the opportunity to choose the images they want to use in their artwork and have them be available in full color.

The document camera is a great asset in the classroom. All my students benefit from being able to clearly see what I am doing and how I am doing it. The level of engagement in my classroom has increased along with the level of creativity. Thanks to all who donated to this project, you have truly enhanced the experience of my students.”

  • To Paint, or Not to Paint, That is the Question!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

The one thing all my students are excited about doing is using color! From my pre-K students to my 5th grade students, the resources you provided are being enjoyed. In pre-K, students created mono prints and loved using paint sticks with their vibrant colors and glittering highlights. Introducing art element line and shape was very hands on with model magic snakes. Model magic also made color mixing come to life when students used it to create their color wheels. Students created their own painted paper to make collages, painting emojis fostered social emotional learning and allowed students the experience of painting on canvas.

The first question asked when my students saw the materials is, "What are we going to make?" Their interest in creating with and exploring new materials reveals their enthusiasm for the creative process. Knowing that people outside of their learning community support them makes my students work harder and appreciate what they've received.

My fifth graders are currently working on selfie portraits, they are learning about color value and will be using the painting resources to create a monochromatic portrait with tints, tones, and shades of a single color. My fourth graders will soon begin yarn painting, and my third graders will be weaving.

Thank you all for fostering creative expression in my art classroom this year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. B.
