My school media center doesn't have a large collection of books, so I would like to have several copies of "Long Way Down" by Jason Reynolds to hold their interest and keep them reading in my classroom. Our students explore narrative techniques throughout the school year and being able to read Reynolds’ novel will allow them the opportunity to further advance their skills by applying them to a text written in free verse. I am hoping that by applying their skills to a text is relevant and relatable to them and their worlds a truly transferable knowledge will be created. I need your support to make this dream a reality. Thanks!
