My project creates a calm, inviting space where students can read for pleasure. The books I have chosen are specifically selected to engage junior high students. These books mirror the diversity of the students in my classroom and inspire students to pursue their dreams. Books featuring female scientists and mathematicians round out my collection. These books provide positive models for the female students in my classroom, showing them that it possible to accomplish similar dreams. My students need comfortable chairs and engaging books to create an inviting reading area. By creating an inviting, comfortable space and books that are engaging, my students will have the perfect conditions for relaxation and inspiration.
