Bare Necessities
Funded Mar 16, 2023Wow, your generosity in helping the classroom with simple, but vital necessities has come a long way. Thank you again!
The items that many people take for granted, such as crayons, to wipes, are now at our fingertips, thanks to you. The healthy flavored water sticks help keep the students hydrated and happy. We chose ones that did not have artificial ingredients, and the kids appreciate it. The dish soap allows our daily dishes to be cleaned, and since our dishwasher has been replaced, everything is sparkly and ready for next day's use. As I had mentioned, Staff and myself have been purchasing these items on our own, and with your help and generous donation, we have the support to make our classroom extra happy.
Sending blessings and appreciation for your kindness! You guys ROCK!!”

Ms. Antus
A Happy and Clean Place
Funded Jan 27, 2022A clean student is a happy student, and this project helped my students be a lot cleaner and happier.
One of my Paras asked for some special wipes for the changing room that we had during Covid funding. We couldn't get them any more, and were told that they were too expensive to purchase.
We have a case of these wipes now, thanks to your support and generous donation! Thank you so much, our changing room is a lot cleaner and more germ free because of you.
It's the little things, but it means a lot.
When several items on our list were no longer available, I had to come up with other things that we desperately needed. Thanks to you, we were blessed to replace some very old feeding bibs that were coming apart. We now have a new bib for each student and I don't have to worry about bibs falling apart in the wash. They were also pricey for our classroom to purchase on our own, but you helped make our wish list happen!
Our classroom is coming together, and we really appreciate your help!”

Ms. Antus
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 2 other donors.Weekly Bonding
Funded Nov 30, 2021When I came on board as the new Lifeskills teacher, I inherited an Arts Day, and a Crafts Day. Well, one particular student liked the routine, so we more or less kept Tuesdays and Wednesdays free for arts and crafts.
I also inherited several hot glue guns, and soon realized that we needed new ones.
Thanks to you, we now have new hot glue guns that work great!
The students and Staff now have a world of gluing and art work. The possibilities are endless. Thank you again for this exciting and valuable tool for our classroom. It is very much appreciated!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 3 other donors.Working Hard and Playing Hard
Funded Oct 18, 2021The beginning of the school year, saw our Lifeskills class with a swing set and a climbing wall in our designated playground. That was it.
When our project items arrived, color literally burst onto the scene.
Our students received a basketball hoop, colorful balls, bean bags and number toss.
Colors were everywhere!
The students immediately played in the playground with their new treasures, and they were happy!
We work on adaptive PE, and these brand new materials allowed the students to work on their fine motor skills and socialization. They played with each other, throwing balls in the hoop, the bean bag basket, lots of wonderful movement.
We're able to play inside when the weather is cold too.
When one of our big items was unavailable, it turned out to be another blessing, besides the goal reaching of this project. I ordered sensory beads, rings, viewer, a fidget monster, and cuddle ball. And of course a cart to hold the small items!
All of our students truly benefited from these wonderful items. There was something for everyone.
Seeing their reactions, that continue to this day, makes for one happy and engaged classroom.”

Ms. Antus
